Any Ideas

Darlene, in her current mood, does not want me around. I know that just a month or so ago she was talking about how great it was that I was here..and how her business had increased because of me.
But that was DarP1 and now we have DarP2 and DarP2 does not want me around. Also I don't want to be around DarP2.

Many of of you have commented and offered some advice. Most all of you are smarter that I am.. hell all of you are smarter than I am...
So if any of you have any ideas. I would love to hear them.

I know..it is my ex-wife and nothing legal says I have to stay around or help her out or care about her..But..She does have problems.. I was not the cause of any of those problems.. But still.. I can not let her end up on the street homeless. Also she is the one taking care of my 15 year old grandson.

I am thinking.. If I get a full time job...I can use that mone to live on... out of my retirement money..I can take and give Dar what she needs each month to keep the house.
I don't know.. anyone see anything I am missing here?

Depression

We move on November 4th. We are getting DirectTV, the TV service and the Internet service, and it should be installed soon. We will get the DirectTV hardware next week and about two days after that we should be contacted by the installer.
Darlene is major depressed. I attempted to talk to her.. but it is like talking to a brick wall.

I am having major chest pains.

I am going to end this and go and see if I can go to sleep..maybe that will help.

TRS-80 Model I - about 1982

You can see that I have always been a cowboy. Smile.
This was 11-13-1949 on my aunt Et and uncle Jim's farm in Missouri.

Tiger Direct

Got in a small order from Tiger Direct today. I got one of those key ring USB JumpDrives. It has 128 megs of memory. I got a 128 meg SD chip and a cable. I got 100 black CDs and that was the order.

Phone Service SBC

We got good news and bad news. We will have phone service turned on at the new house on Tuesday November 5th. We know the new phone number. We are getting the service were we can make long distance calls, anyplace in the US, and we pay a flat rate of $20.00 a month for the service. So the phone bill is going to be about $50.00 a month.
The bad news is that SBC does not offer DSL service at that location. So I do not think we will find any other DSL provider. We may have to go with Internet service from DirectPC. Anyone have any comments on them?

Russell and Darlene

Russell is trying to get Darlene to give him money... She is telling him that she is under a lot of stress and needs all her money to put down as deposits and do stuff like that...
I told Russell to not bug her about it right now. I told Dar just tell him no.. they don't listen to me.. Oh well..
Russ is wanting the $150.00 a month Internet service. Dar is wanting to go with the $80.00 a month Internet service. No matter which one they get...I will be the one paying for it.. But Darlene is saying "she" can't afford it. I just told Dar go ahead and order the $80.00 a month DSL plan. That will give us 5 IP numbers.

Darlene is talking about getting a real estate license. She would do well. Her plan would be just to work the phone. But you have to have a license even to work the phone.

Darlene says that Dick, the real estate, guy may take her down on Thursday to take some stuff to the house. I would like to see the house.. but I think Dar would perfer it I did not go.. Jimmy may go to help unload the boxes. I will try and get Jimmy to take some decent photos. However.. I guess I will see the house on Monday. Not only see the house ..but living in the house.

Hilary was asking if there are apartments in Hillsboro. I told her she could move in with us.

Donation in the Tip Jar

Dick in Kansas City made a donation into the tip jar on the left. That was very nice of Dick. He has been logging into Howard's Notebook from the very first days of Howard's Notebook. Dick was logging into Howard's Notebook before there was a world wide web. I am not even sure there was an Internet. There may have been something that turned into the Internet but very few had heard about it.
Not sure if Dick's first modem was 300 baud or if he was using a fast 1200 baud modem.

Dick has been a good friend over the years. He has made a number of donations. He has offered his help in many ways over the years.
