Wal-Mart - What the fuck?

  I found this story on a blog.  Wal-Mart
That is wild. Well let me re-print it here:

"...A friend of mine went to Wal-Mart to have here picture developed. OK, bad idea in the first place, but still… When she wanted to pay, the cashier told her: “We cannot reproduce pictures taken by a pro photographer. We have analyzed your photos, and you did not take them.

The girl wanted to be paid, but without giving the prints! After some arguments (that was of course out of question to pay without getting the prints), my friend decided to leave. Bad idea. Cashier called security, and now my friend has two big boys around her.

- “Girl, you have to pay, but you will not have your prints”

In all, she loses an hour and a half at Wal-Mart, trying to make her point. How she was able to get out of this mess? She had to call one of the girl in the pictures, make her go to her house to grab the camera which still have the memory card with the pictures in it. It is only by showing the pictures in the camera that she was able to leave."

  That story is just wild.  I am not sure what I would have done.  I would not have spent an hour talking to them.  I would not have paid for photos that I did not get from them.
  I would not have let their security keep me at the store. I know better than to push or hit anyone but I would have attempted to leave and walk around them and if they put their hands on me I would have been calling the police.

  It seems to me that Wal-Mart is just plain evil.  I know one thing they need a union for all of their employees.  That might not matter in this matter but the entire organization appears to be out of control.
 

  By the way.. I have no idea why they do not reproduce pro photos.  Hell if I were them I would put a sign on Wal-Mart saying "where the pros bring their film."

  I do not understand this world.. stop the world I want to get off.

Dreams Last Night

  Last night I had two dreams.  Well two that I woke up and could remember.  I am no dream expert... We may have hundreds of dreams.  I do not know.
 

  Dream number one was ...I was getting ready to go to work.  I had problems finding my uniform.  It was all taking hours.  I still  had not found all my uniform and then I could not find my gun. 
  Then I could not remember were I worked.  That was a bad feeling.  I was thinking.. someone help me... my memory is going... but no one every helps me and I just sort of go around looking and trying to think.. I called a hospital and asked do I work for you in security and am I down to work and what hours?

  The other dream I am trying to find some place to get my teeth cleaned. (They do need it.)  I end up out side of a bunch of building that all look the same and I don't know which is which.. Then a young woman, who is smoking, is out side of one and she said.. that she cleans teeth but she just got fired for smoking.. I could tell that she was also drinking.  She tells me she will clean my teeth and do it cheap and I am thinking.. I don't want someone that is drunk working in my mouth.

  I sure would like to have some nice dreams.... a nice dream about sex would be good.

Schiavo for All of Us

  The Terri Schiavo matter is such big news because it effects us all so much.
  My mother and I had to make that sort of decision for my father.  We told them to take off his life support system and he died.  My mother passed away a few years ago and I did not have to make the decision for her.
  Someday my family may have to decide for me.

   I worked hospital security for 30 years and often people will seem surprised that a hospital has security and they will ask "Why does a hospital have to have security?"
  Well it is because of things like this.. and others.. One time we had an old man that was upset that his wife was in ICU and he got a gun and headed to the hospital to kill her.  You just have everything that you can think of and then things that you can't even think of unless you have worked at a hospital.  One hospital I worked at ...they had a great cancer unit and one of the doctors was a great doctor and everyone loved him but then when their family member would die .. the family would go nuts and want to attack the doctor.  Not sure if he was not being up front and honest with them or what the problem was.. but.. well..  I am glad I don't work hospital security anymore.  In fact I am glad I don't work security ... I have the feeling however that I will be working it again one day.

  Thank God the father and mother of Terri Schiavo are not total nuts.  I feel very sorry for them. They could cause major problems if they got real nuts and started calling for people to force their way into help Terri.

  It is funny..well not funny.. But I guess that many people are very upset with Jed Bush.  The comments about him in the militias report.. well.. G. W. Bush fucked up this entire matter.. Him and the GOP.  They made a real mess out of it.  It would be funny.. well.. not funny funny ..but you know what I mean..  How odd it would be if someone were to try and harm Jed Bush because of all this stuff going on..
  I hope they have tons of extra security for Jed Bush.  There are tons and tons of nuts running around in this nation and most of them have guns.   

Militias to Aid Terri Schiavo

  I do not watch much news since Bush won the last election.  Plus I am working now.  We also cut our cable channels down.  So I am watching less and less of TV and of the news.
  I am not sure how much play or TV the following story got:  Militias to Aid Terri Schiavo.  Thank God I am not working security were Terri Schiavo is located.  Of course they got tons of police.

  The above story...I found the link on AmericaBlog. They link, for the story, to the Petoskey News Review.

  It does not surprise me.  If I were doing the security on the Schiavo matter I would expect that.. anytime anything big happens or anytime.. an event happens.. all the nuts in the world come out of the wood work.  I am sure the police know all that better than I do and that is why they have such a show of force.
  What gets me..always ...is how these militias types think they are so right and they think they know the way America should be... when in fact these people understand nothing about the history or the American way of life..
  By the way ...none of those type of guys are going to go any place with out their guns.  They don't take a shower or go to the bath room without a fire arm.   

 

Now A Power Loss

  We lost electric power for about an hour.  This has not been a good day.
  I got my alarm set for 0500 hours.  I am going to bed.  I hope we do not lose power again.  I also set the alarm on my cell phone to ring at 0500 hours. 

  I need one of those UPS units that CompUSA has on sale for $150.00 at this time.

LaDawna and Aaron

  I told you all that LaDawna, my daughter, is moving to Washington DC.  Her union is sending her to  Washington DC.
  Remember my comments that a message came to me from God that a storm was leaving the West for DC and I felt sorry for the GOP.
  Well maybe it was not God.  It may have just been that I knew the good guys were going to have a smart hard fighter in DC.

  Armond, a local friend, had not read my blog for awhile and he happen to see that entry about a message from God.. and he was wondering if I was starting to have mental problems.  Smile

Cut Fiber Optic

  We have had no cable service today.  It went out about 11 am.  It is now almost 7:30 pm and still no cable service.  That means no cable TV and no cable modem service.
  I called the cable company and they said that a fiber optic cable had been cut and they think that service will be back sometime beween 8 and 9 pm.
  Maybe telephone service over broadband is not such a good idea.  Smile

Well the cable service just now came online.
 

I See You

  With this webcam software that I am using and with the way I am sending out the video... I can tell how many people are watching and I see their IP number and domain.  So I have a little idea of where the people are.. Don't worry..  I don't know who you are or where you are.. I just have a little idea.

 

Active WebCam - PY Software

I am using Active WebCam software now to send out video for ShowMeCAM.

I have paid for the Active WebCam standard edition.  The next step up is the Pro and it cost $20.00 more to move up to it.  I would like to do that for the archive of snapshots.
  The next step up after that is the Deluxe edition and that will cost me $40.00  more for that upgrade.  I do want to move up to it because it will let me do a number of things.  One of them is I can password protect the video and do other things that would give us a better site.
  That will have to wait for a couple more pay days.  As long as you guys like Active WebCam we will try and keep using it.
