Fashion TV

 

We get a TV channel called "Fashion TV."  It is pretty good.  You get to see pretty models walking down the run way.  You get to see tits all the time.  When they do swim suits you get to see more.
  They play some nice music.

Rush Limbaugh

  I talked last night on the telephone to Roger.  He is an old friend that lives in Missouri.  He used to come over often and we would talk about computers and visit.  Now that I am in FL we talk on the telephone.
  Roger is a fan of The Rush Limbaugh Show.  He listens to it on the radio.
Roger told me that Rush Limbaugh has a new sponsor. It is CompUSA. It is odd  that they  take are a sponsor on his radio show but Rush would not be allowed to work for CompUSA.  Rush could not pass the CompUSA drug screening.

The Last Boy Scout

  I hooked the TV back up to my computer.  I can watch TV now on the computer monitor.
  I just watched "The Last Boy Scout" on TNT.  I have seen the movie before.  It is however an excellent movie.

  The Google PageRang here is still 4/10.  That is pretty good.
   

Donations and Wish List

  I just paid $25.00 to renew the ImageEvent service. I use it here for Howard's Notebook Photo Albums. It is an excellent service.  I recommend them.  I like services that do not charge very much money and that offer excellent service.  I love it when I can afford to pay for a year and not have to worry about a bill each month.
  I need to pay BlogRolls $20.00 for Gold membership.  It expired last month.  The BlogRolls service is a good deal.  It lets me build menus that for my blogs and web sites. 
 
  I spend out a lot of money to keep the blog and web sites on line 24/7.  If any of you, that have not made a donation before, want to help out it would be most welcome.

Broadband over Power Lines

  Yahoo News has a news article on getting Internet service over power lines.  The article is called Waiting for Electrifying Internet Access.
  The same electrical power lines that we all use for power can be used to bring us broadband Internet.  The article is correct that the Federal Communications Commission is out front pushing for BPL.  The Bush FCC wants to make money for the electric utility companies.
   The head of the FCC, a Bush person, has not been open or willing to listen to those that point out problems and dangers of the BPL.  Amateur radio operators, in this country and around the world, point out that BPL creates powerful electrical interference.  The interference does not just effect ham radio operators but it also effects with police, fire and ems radios.  This interference would also effect home land security communications.

The Space Program

  I have always been a big fan and supporter of the space program.  I want us to get our seed (DNA) off this earth and out into space.  In the event that something would happen to Earth or the human race here we would still live.
  I used to listen to the earth satellites that we and USSR put up in the early days.  I would listen to the Mercury program on the shortwave radio.  I did a space communications column a long long time ago.  There were not many satellites to list at that time.. I am talking about Echo, Project Needles and things a long time ago.  Even my bulletin board system in 1982 had information about the space program.
  So I am a big big fan.
  We agreed to a space station and have international agreements about the space station and we must honor them.  But I am not sure we can afford to spend money on manned space flight at this time.  We have a war in progress and a President that is spending money like crazy.  He wants to break the bank and bring about an end to social programs.  He may kill off space and other things first.
 

One Hour Work Day

  I went into work at 6 am.  The GM was the only one there.  I am always early.  He let me in and I asked him "where is the sign machine today."  He said over at the customer service desk.  I timed in on the time clock.  Went to the computer.  I had to find the two palm devices.  Then checked the computer.  No network connection. 
  Moe had showed up and I told him.  He said he would fix it "right away."  He hooked it up to the network cable.  He said OK.  Well still no network cable.  He then began hooking up to different spots.  No network.  He took the computer  back to his department were it had been and hooked it up.  No network connection.
  After about an hour I went to the GM and told him the computer did not have a network connection.  I said if it is OK with you I will go home and maybe it will be working on Monday.  He said "fine."  So I went home.
  I am now off until 7 am on Monday. 
  We have paid this months rent.  I got breakfast for all of us at the mall.  I got $7.00 to last me until Monday.
  I have been moving some stuff around in my room again.

Did Bush Give THE Finger?

  News reports are going around that Bush gave the press the finger.  I do not know if it is true or not.  I do wonder if maybe Bush still has a drinking problem or if maybe he is still doing drugs.

Watching "TV" On Line

I just watched "Devil Girl from Mars" via the Internet.  Now I am watching "The Last Man on Earth 1."  The next movie is "The Last Mon on Earth 2." 
  Nothing like watching bad movies in black and white in 320 by 240 format.

  I am not going to give you the link to the site.  Smile.  I am sure they have limited band width and I may want to watch again.  Smile

Has the world gone mad?

    On the CNN web site in the Technology section they have story about the Los Angeles police using a $35 million dollar computer systems to track complaints and other telling data about officers.  The computer then alerts top supervisors to possible signs of misconduct.
    I ask you has the world gone mad?  Here is the story:  Good cop, bad cop

    If you hire the right type of people and train them correct.  You have to re-train and you have to promote good men to supervisor.  You do not need to spend $35 million on a computer. 
   

     On a another subject I heard a vice president with the AFL - CIO on National Public Radio.  He was asked what the AFL - CIO would do about the x amount of millions of dollars that the unions that broke away are taking with them.   He was asked will the AFL - CIO operate with less money or get the money lost from the membes still in the AFL - CIO?  He said there would be a meeting about it.  But you could tell they are going to make up the money that was taken away  from them.  I can not believe that the current AFL - CIO would stand for it.  They should say to a man.. look you fucked up.. live with less money.. Not only that.. they should reduce the pay of the AFL - CIO leadership.

     I do not watch much TV now that I do not have CNN and I do not have TV in my room...but I still see some news on the Internet.  It pisses me off big time.  I think it is old age.  I never used to get mad or get upset over things.
     But don't you think the two items about would piss anyone one off?
