Happy New Year

  I want to wish all of you a very happy new year.  I hope that 2006 is a great year for all of you.
  I want to thank all of you that have visited ShowMeBlog during the year.  I want to thank all of the viewers of ShowMeCam.

  Thanks to all that have sent donations or sent gifts this year.  Thanks to those of you that clicked on a link and spent some dollars. 

  Thanks to you that have put up with my sppelling. 
  Thanks for putting up with my left wing raving and ranting...  If it has seemed at time that I hate you or call you names or say bad things about you.... well..  Well..hummmmm... Well.. Truth is that it upsets me that I worry about my friends and since I am a bleeding heart liberal I worry about everyone.. So I am sorry if I hurt anyone.  Nothing was a direct personal attack on you.  I get very upset when I see people are friends heading in, what I think, the wrong direction or being fooled by the system.
  I know my humor is hard to understand.  For those of you that made the effort to understand my humor thanks.  For those of you who did not understand my humor.. well forgive me.  You may have found some of my comments this year offensive.  Hay.. just wait until next year.  Smile
 

Do I Censor Comments

The following comment was posted here:

"Put all the anti-Bush stuff on the new blog.  That way you won't lose all your independent, moderate and conservative readers that feel Bush is doing a good job and the country and world is much better off for his leadership.
Secondly, don't censor (approve) your comments from your readers.  It's no fun reading only the vanilla comments that agree with you.  A little spice is good for you.
Finally, I want to compliment you on the blog recently.  It has come a long way and I enjoy reading it (and patronizing your sponsors). A great blog!

  Well the easy part to get out of the way is that I do NOT censor or limit the comments from any real person.  All blogs and sites have been having major problems with porn and spam sites posting "comments" to blogs and sites.  They are not real people it is automated software that will post something so that a link to their casino or port site will be listed.
  So all the software people have had to install safe guards or else you on a site like this find 25 fake spam "comments" for each real comment.
  The software allows reject any post not from a person with a approved ID or I can look at each post and approve or reject.  The only ones I reject are the fake "comments" from spam sites and port sites.
  I have always let everyone post their feelings or comments with no censorship. Not just since the BBS days of 1982 but back in the late 50s when I put out a printed publication.

Florida Teen Home From Baghdad

  Did you hear about the 16 year old who went to Iraq?  He went with out telling his parents.  He is from Florida.

  He needs to have his butt beat when he gets home. 
  He is a little rich kid.  His father is a doctor.

  I maybe dead when it happens.. but let me tell you something.. this kid is going to turn out to be a first class prick.  I do not know if he will be happy in life but everyone around him is not going to be happy.

  Again.. his mom and dad are not going to do anything about this kid.. If I were his father.. I would make life a living hell for him.  He would be going to public school.  He would not be allowed to watch TV or us the computer except to do school work.  He would not have $10K in his saving account. 
  Boy does he piss me off.
 

 
 

South Park

  "South Park" is a television show that I love.  It is gross and  I think often they go too far.  But they have to push the limits or they would not have some of the great funny things on the show.
  Yahoo News reports that Comedy Central may have pulled the re-broadcast of one show due to protest from the Catholic League.

  I love the show but, for some reason, I just see the show from time to time.  I did see the episode that they are talking about here.  I did feel that it was pretty cude and I did not see the need to offend people of faith.

  I need a name for the new blog.  Anyone got any ideas?
  I fear you can not help me with this.. but I need to have in my mind a good idea of what goes on which blog.  Right now I am thinking hardware and software discussion will go on the new blog. 
  One thing I want to put on ShowMeBlog is that video option.  Dick commented that having the video in the blog might be a problem for people trying to read the blog on cell phone, PDAs and for people that do not have broad band Internet connections.  I wecome any comments and ideas from you.

Movable Type Blog

  May God send me help.  I am so confused now with my blog and everything I have going.  I am starting to try and do videos and get into all sorts of things... Well I went and set up Movable Type and a new blog.
  Why did I do that?   I sort of feel like the guy that keeps trying to have sex with different women.
  I just set it up.  I will not give you the URL at this time.  If you look around you may just run into  it on your own.  I have not even made a post to it yet.
  I just wonder why I do it. 
  I do enjoy setting them up.  I am not sure I enjoy having to post to them all the time.  And no I don't think I would care to set them up for other people.  It is a lot of work.  It would be much harder if you were trying to enter information for others.
  What do I post in ShowMeBlog that you don't like to read?  Maybe I could move all of that stuff and put it in the new blog.  I suspect the problem is that all of you will have different things you do not like.
  I could move all of the ham radio stuff to the new blog.  I know none of you are interested in ham radio.  But ham radio is part of my life and if I post that information over there.. Part of my day and life will not get posted and you may wonder what in the heck did he do all day on such and such a day.

  LaDawna, my daughter, sent me some petroglyph on magnets.  Very powerful magnet.  They are pretty neat.
  Would make a nice gift for people.

Injun Can Read Em Email

I got a reply, via Email, from the Miccosukee Casino:

"Dear Mr. Howard:

I forwarded your inquiry to our accounting department and I was advised that the proper way to handle this problem is for you to contact your bank and request a charge back (similar to when you dispute a credit card transaction) Your bank will then electronically contact our bank and investigate for an out of balance that day.

If so the bank will credit back to your account.

We could not handle the transaction with you directly, because we would have no way of knowing that the out of balance was related to your card.

I apologize for any inconvenience."

I will give it a try and see if that works. 

The year is almost over

  I find it hard to believe that 2006 is almost here.  When I was young and even older the year 2000 seemed like it was so far away and I was never thinking that I would see the year 2000.  I should have done the math.
  Now 2006 is almost here.

  I do not say too much about work.  I am not real happy to see it indexed on Google and having the boss and people that I work with finding the site.
  However the store that I work at took in more money last month than any store in the company.  The gross this month for this store will be more than many of the company stories bring in in six months.
  This store is  number one most of the time in all fields. 
  I am sure that someone we will be moving.  I will not keep working for this store when we move.  I do not think I will even work for the same company.  But if there is a store near the new place...I might look into working for them.  My guess is that any of the stores would be very happy to hire anyone from this store.  The management of the other stores keep track of who is on top.  So it would be pretty easy for me to get hired. 
  I can not say the same about working mall security.  I am sure that the company I was working for over at Dadeland Mall has me down marked to not re-hire.  Of course I would never want to work for them.  So it is no great loss.
