My Magic Wand - Get Your Mind Out of the Gutter

If I had God like powers or magic or something like that...
I would change the United States Constitution in the following ways...

#1 I would have 100% public financing of elections. There would be no reason for any one to take money for an election. In fact I would make it a crime for them to take the money.

#2 I would have house members elected for 4 year terms. Right now they are elected for 2 year terms and they are always running for office and trying to get money to get elected.

#3 I would have the President of the United States elected for one 6 year term. He could not service again. As you all know .. now a President will get elected for a 4 year term and he fears doing anything or he lies and cheats so he can get elected for a second term. This would do away with that. He would have one term and not have to worry about being re-elected.

Well there you have it. I bet your glad that I don't have a magic wand.

Palm TX

I got to make this fast. My TV show “The West Wing” will start in 15 minutes.

I should paid extra to get that Palm TX. The tracking shows it may get here on the 7^th. It was in Louisville, KY and then went to Grove City OH and has now left there. I got the Palm TX for $299.00 and shipping was free and I get a $40.00 case for free. But I should have paid extra and got faster delivery.
You people know me pretty well.. yes.. when I want something .. I want it right away.

I did much better with my Palm devices in the past. I had information and could find it and I kept it up to date. The Pocket PC just does not work out for me. I got the Casio E-125 to use with my ham radio however. It is great for that. I should sell it. I got a lot of stuff for it. Every time I sell something it is always a mistake however. Sometimes I end up buying another one.

I wanted Russell to become a ham. Then I could pass on my old ham radios and have a reason to buy a new radio.

Alito and the Fall of the United States

Samuel Alito was sworn in today as a United States Supreme Court Justice. This maybe the start of the decline and fall of the United States. It may not effect me. I may be dead by then.

What is going on in this nation when we have a woman going into the work place and killing fellow workers? OK men yes ..I can understand men doing it.

Coretta Scott King dies. Well 78 years is a long time. I was a supporter of Martin Luther King Jr. from the very first and I was very upset about his death. But I always felt that with Coretta King that she was taking care of the family business. Again I maybe wrong but that is the feeling that I had.

I love movies. I could just watch one Oscar winning movie after another. I have not seen “Brokeback Mountain.” I am not going to see the movie. Believe me I am not anti-gay far from it in fact however I do not want to see two guys hugging and kissing. I can not enjoy any movie that has that in it. I don't even like to see some news video where you see political leaders in other nations kissing each other. I am not sure which is more upsetting to me seeing that or seeing the rank and file shooting weapons off into the air. Yes Yes.. I understand that people are different. But understand I don't want to see a movie with guys kissing. Now if they want to show two guys sucking cocks I don't want to see it ..but I would rather have to watch that than see them kiss each other.

Having said that I am not anti-gay and then having said the above I got many of you saying that I am anti-gay. I guess I can prove it to you then.. I am 100% against gay marriage. I do not have a problem with some sort of civil union and they should have certain rights. But marriage should be for men and woman.
I was debating that with someone and they came up with ... OK what do you do when someone is the wrong biological sex at birth and what do you do when someone changes their sex? It is rare for me not to have an answer or an opinion on a subject but... that just blows my mind and I do not have an answer for a question like that.. I don't know.

I will not be watching the State of the Union speech today when Bush makes it. I can not stand to even look at the guy. Of course I will watch the news shows after the speech and they will show parts of the speech.

New Start for ShowMeBlog?

This is the last day of the month. Tomorrow will be February (2006). Tomorrow I can switch cell phone companies or I can get a new phone from SprintPCS and get $150.00 off the price. I don't have the money to get that new phone right now. But anytime I do have the extra money I can do it.
Anyone recommend a cell phone service better than SprintPCS? The phone I get must have BlueTooth and a build in camera. It is very hard to find a good camera in a cell phone.

We got some news at work the other day they are going to expand and improve three areas of the store. They are going to fix up the tech shop, corp sales and the restrooms. Guess witch one I am excited over..and that is sad when a person gets excited over a bathroom.

In one month I will have health care. I have been very lucky that I have made it about 8 years with out health care. That means it has been about 8 or 9 years since I have seen a doctor. I have been very careful during those years. I been careful walking, working and living.

Starting today I am going to try and put most of my political rumbling on Howard's Notebook. I am sure I will slip and fail from time to time. I am going to try and put most the ham radio stuff on The NØUWY Notebook.

One thing I hope to do from now on is have more photos and videos. Maybe I should get a small camera that I could carry with me at all times. I wanted to use a cell phone with a built in camera. But it is hard to find a decent camera in a cell phone. Any recommendation? Any idea on a good small camera that I could carry at all times with me? The price can not be too much.

The Democrats have a new Ad and it will appear on Fox News.
I think it is a very poor Ad.

Fast Food Jobs Going Overseas?

  We all know that good jobs are leaving the United States and going over seas.  It seems you can work fast food if your young and that is about it.
  The right would have you think that the reason all the good jobs left the United States was because of unions.  That is not true but we know they never tell the truth.
  It seems to me that the right would say... well you can work at a fast food place and save all the money you get and start your own small business.  That seems to be their answer to the problem.
  I just found this news item on CNN:  "I'd like fries with that, and step on it!" If you read that story they talk about "Call Centers" taking your order at drive up windows at fast food places.  Well brother let me tell you now.. if they are not doing it right now they will be soon having those call centers outside of the United States.  Yes.. friend..when you drive up to a window and place an order you will be talking to someone in China or someplace else that is making 50 cents an hour.  Your son or daughter will be in the back of the car and can not find a job.
 

The West Wing times 5

  The West Wing will be on TV five times tomorrow.  I plan to lay on my bed tomorrow night and watch three hours of The West Wing.

  I was feeling real bad on Friday.  But Saturday and Sunday I felt better.  All the bathroom visits are still a problem.  Last few days my legs hurt and they feel so heavy.
 
  I hate to spend money for a new cell phone.  I never use the phone.  I also hate to be signed up with SprintPCS for two more years.
  I been reading some reviews of the cell phones with cameras and many people talk about how bad the camera is in the phone.  I could get a very small camera that take good photos.  Even if it were small I would hate to have to carry something extra.

Ham Radio

  Well I did not get anything done this weekend.  I did not go any place.  I did not pick a Medicare plan. 
  I did setup a WordPress blog.  I sure like that software. 
  I will getting my new Palm device this week.  So you can expect to read a lot of comments about it.  I had one of the first Palm devices.  Then I went with the HandSpring device.  Then I went with a Pocket PC device.  Now I am going back to the Palm. 
  There will be a ham fest next weekend.  I plan to go to the hamfest. They are going to have Wi-Fi setup for the event.  I will see how my Palm works with the Wi-Fi.  I may post right from the event to this blog.   

Look for More Video and Photos

  Next week I am going to be getting a Palm TX handheld device.  I hope soon to get a new cell phone that has a 2.0 meg-pixel camera.  Both the Palm device and the cell phone will have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.  So your going to be seeing a lot of photos in the blog soon and a lot of videos will be on line here.
  I am not sure what the next storm season will be like.. but I hope that not matter what hits that I can keep posting to the blog and keep sending photos and video.
We will see how it works out.

Fiddler on the Roof

I am feeling much better today. I have noticed that I feel bad if I eat candy. I have also found that the less I eat the better I feel. In March I will have a complete medical check up and see what is going on with me.
This weekend I should pick out a plan with the Medicare. I been putting it off.

Right now on TV “Fiddler on the Roof” is starting. It is an excellent movie. I can not think of a better movie.

The Miami Marathon will be tomorrow. I may take my camera and go to the event. I will see how I feel tomorrow.
