I was doing a search of the Internet. I ran across a story about IPC Security and Blue Ridge Mall (Kansas City, MO). I lived in Kansas City and worked security from 1971 to November 0f 1999. I never heard of IPC when I was in Kansas City.
I worked for IPC Security here in Miami when I came here. I quit them but they were getting ready to fire me. The mall manager found my web site and saw nude photos of me. He ordered the Director of Security to fire me. I did not know about that I quit for another reason.
I was doing a search for IPC and trying to see if they have been in court yet over Seaways. They are using them at malls. When I saw one in use at Dadeland Mall my feeling was that..yes.. great for getting around..will let the officer see better and be seen and all those sort of things.. But I also felt like they were going to run into someone and those people are going to see green. I did not find anything but I think it will happen.
I did find were a mall shopper was beaten and robbed at Boca Mall and won $1.08 million. Won due to poor security. It did not say who the security company was in the case. Simon Property Group owns Boca Mall and Dadeland Mall.
Bug found in mashed potatoes. I found that a couple is considering a lawsuit against a restaurant, at Dadeland Mall, after they found a bug in their mashed potatoes.
I found this during my search:
"In another absurd event, a good friend and co-worker of mine went into
Dadeland Mall with his camera hanging on a strap from his shoulder
because he was afraid it would be stolen out of his parked car. He had
no intention of taking photos but he was accosted several minutes after
entering the mall by several security guards who called the police when
he objected to the rude behavior and foul language of the security
guards. The police officer told him to leave the premises and not come
back.
What bullshit!
DB"
A number of the security officers that I worked with at the mall talked about people breaking the law by taking photos. I attempted a number of times to explain to them that it was not a law but it was a mall rule. They did not believe me or understand me and I am sure now if you go over to the mall and try and take a photo your going to have a security officer tell you that your committing a crime and tell you that your going to get arrested.
It might be a good way to make some Christmas money. Smile
Well all the searching on the Internet was worth it.
I found a great blog: Rangelife
He talks about the alligator problem here. He tells all about the crack smoking guy that was attacked by an alligator the other day. He talks about Mark Foley. Check out the blog.
