Alexa Traffic Ranking

  I from time to time am a fan of Alexa.  It is a traffic raking site.  They also have a tool bar.  People install the tool bar and it gives them a great deal of information on sites that they visit.  It also shows the ranking of the site.
  The more people that use the Alexa tool bar and visit your site the higher your ranking is with Alexa.  (Well the lower the ranking ..because the lower your ranking number the better.)
  As an example HNBBS.COM has a Alexa ranking of 5,180,776 and ShowMeBlog has a ranking of 1,117,493.  Even the ranking for ShowMeBlog is too high.  I need everyone that has Alexa as a tool bar to log into ShowMeBlog often.

Is Alexa SpyWare?

Yes..I run "Ad-Ware" from time to time and I know it list it as "SpyWare" and other programs detect and report Alexa as spyware. That does not make it spyware.
If you run a firewall it will detect, at first, everything as an attack on your computer. You learn and fine turn the firewall and you see that you have to all certain ports to be used else the Internet will not work and you might as well turn off your computer. So you see that the firewall software or hardware detects and reports everything but you use your common sense and good judgement to decide what is OK and what is not OK.

I have been using Alexa for a long time. I love it.

  You will see that I am about the only person in the world that thinks Alexa is not spyware!
