Update on the move

  I just looked at ShowMeBlog and I see the last post that I made was when the guy came to the door to move our stuff.
  Russell did help me and the guy move stuff out of the place.  It two two trips with his pick up truck.  I gave him an extra $20.00 for the second trip.  He was very nice.  He attempted to keep me from having to left the heavy stuff.  With Russell's help I did not die. I had made a video in case I died moving the stuff.  But you do not get to see the video now.  Smile
  When we got to the new place on the first trip Ken was there and he helped move stuff into the place.  On the second trip Ken had gone to work.
  So we are moved. 
  I am living in the dinning/living room area and Russell is going to get the second bed room.  That was my idea.  I am good with it.  I got a lot more room and some great views.  I just do not have Internet service.  If I had Internet service all would be great.
  I got some photos and videos but they will have to wait until Comcast gets off their ass and gets me Internet service.
  I am thinking about cancelling the "service" and getting ATT and get DSL.  Ken asked about Internet via Direct TV.  Many of you will remember how bad that was in Hillsboro TX.
  Well I got 27 minutes left to use this computer here.  Then I got about an hour plus ride home via rail and bus.

  If there is any VIP with Comcast reading this.. HELP HELP HELP

Hello from Miami-Dade Main Library

  I am posting this from down town Miami FL at the main library. They have a lot of computers here but I still had to sign up and wait for 30 minutes to get a computer.  I have the use of this one for 60 minutes.  If you have a lap top you can just bring it and use their wifi here.
  I told Russ I would buy his lap top for $500.00 but I am not sure I am going to have the money.
  To get to this libary I had to take the number 72 bus, they run each 60 minutes, and I took it to the Metro Rail station and then took the train down town.

  I am still waiting for Comcast to get my Internet connection working. 
  They came on Friday and got the TV working but worked trying to get the Internet working for 7 hours.  It turns out there is a  bad cable in the yard.  So they said someone would  be out "for sure" on Saturday.  No one came.  On Monday a regular employee came out and tested the line and said it wa bad and would need to be replaced.  He said someone would be out Tuesday to fix it.  Well  no one came on Tuesday.  I called them and they said the guy on Monday had listed the job as complete and done.  They had nothing set up for repair of the line. 
  So they said they would have someone call me and if I answer the phone they will come out ..sometime..first they have to call me.. It seems they have 72 hours to call me..and up to 10 days to fix the problem.
  I did get the bill from Comcast.  They got the bill to me.  But I do not have Internet access.
  I am posting this now.. I have not checked my email yet.  It has been about a week since I could check my email.

  When will Comcast fix my problem and get me Internet?  Your guess is as good as mine.

Moving stuff soon

  The guy from down stairs just came to the door.. we will be moving the stuff in 30 minutes.

Moving problems

  I guess I got time for a longer post.  I am at the old place waiting for the guy down stairs to help me move my computer desk, my chair, my bed and two big boxes of stuff.  Then there is a coffee table and a couple of other items.  Then there are four boxes of Russell's stuff.  There are a few other items.

   Ken paid the guy $60.00 to move the stuff in his pick up truck.  He was going to move it Friday but I was waiting for the cable guy from 0800 to 1100 and then with the cable guy from 1200 to 1900 hours. 
   So then he was going to move it yesterday afternoon and I was here..but he asked if he could move it today in the AM (Sunday).  I am here waiting and it is almost 1100 hours. 
   It sure would have been nice to move it before it got hot.. early today would have been great.
   
   I think Russell is willing to help.. surprise surprise..but he had to go to work.. a girl is having a birthday today. 
   
  I been sleeping at the new place on the title floor.  I hope I can get my mattress moved over today.

Problems with Comcast

  I am at our old place and using Russell's laptop to post this entry.  Well the Comcast install guy came to the new place.  He did not speak one word of English..  I take it back.. He could say "TV" and "Computer" and I pointed to the room were I wanted TV and the room were I wanted the cable modem service.
  Well 7 hours later I had TV service but he could not get the Internet to work.. I will not go into all the attempts.. at last some droped off a long long ass black cable.  He ran that from their box at the street across yards and through the house.. and he got the IP number or server name or whatever that he needed ... which he could not do before...  so his supervisor called me and told me there was a broken wire or line in the yard..and they would come out tomorrow (Saturday) and fix it for sure.

  No one came out to fix it.  I called and they said someone would be out Monday between 0800 and 1100.  Today is Sunday.

  We also had problems with the move.. family upset with me.. family thinks all the stuff that needs to be moved in mine and that I should move it and they should not have to move my stuff.. long story..
   Has not been fun..
   Well I better get off Russell's lap top.
   OH I just told him I would buy it from him and he said he would sell it.  The price will be $500.00 and I don't have the money right now.. but when I get the money then I get the laptop.  If Comcast can't get me Internet service I will see about getting a wireless card for this Acer laptop and pay the 70.00 a month for wireless Internet.
   I got to keep posting to the blog ..even if you don't want me too.   Smile

First Day of Moving

    Ken made two trips to the new place today with stuff.  I made two trips with stuff.  We both spent time cleaning the place. 
   We are both back at the old place.  I am going to box up the TV and a few other things and take a nap.  When I wake up.. Not sure if it will be at 9 or 10 pm or 3 am ..but when ever I do wake up.. I am going to load up the car and go back to the new place.
   I will setup the two computers..I will clean and I will wait for the cable man. He should come tomorrow between 0700 and 1100 hours.

   I took a few photos but they were not very good.  But here is a view of the outside of the place.

Bush is a Jackass of All Trades

   My God...  Now Bush is talking about "World War III" because of Iran.  President Bush is a jackass of all trades.  He screws up everything.  You know how the radio talk have a delay so they can censor something that someone says.. we need that on Bush... a time delay so we can delete stupid things that he says..

   Ken and I leave soon to pick up the key to the new place.  We will clean it.  We will take a few items over to the place.  Before 0700 hours tomorrow I have to get both my computers over there and set up because the cable man will come tomorrow between 0700 and 1100 hours.
   That should give us faster Internet service but only local TV channels. 
   With me having less TV channels to watch..you may get less of my political crap here.   

   It will be interesting to see how good or bad Comcast cable is going to be.. the upload speed should be about 3 times faster than I have had for the last 3 years.  I should get an extra 3 M of download speed.  We will see it it works out that way..

 

Social Security increase for 2008 will be 2.3%

"WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- Social Security benefits will increase 2.3% next year, administrators said Wednesday. The cost-of-living adjustment, beginning in January, impacts Social Security benefits received by almost 50 million Americans...."
  That is going to be an extra $25.00 a month for me.  We will get the increase starting in January (2008).

   Well ShowMeBlog had 2200 hit yesterday.  That is pretty good.  But a large number of those did a search for "YouPorn" and they found their way to this blog.  I think very few of them will be back.
    For those people looking for adult (porn) check out Cams.Com  I hope you will buy lots of porn because I get a commission.  Smile.  Right now I have earned $32.14 and they pay out when the amount is $50.00 or more.. so check out their site and buy buy buy.  Smile

    

 

Social Security Increase for 2008

  Ken and I will get the key to the new place .  Tomorrow I will see the inside of the place for the first time.  We are going to clean it.  
  We will move some stuff in on Thursday but the big move day is Friday.  I have to get two computers over there and hooked up Friday before 0700.  The Comcast guy will be there between 0700 and 1100 hours to hook up the TV and Internet.  I am not sure we will have a TV there at that time.. but I want to make sure get both computers hooked up to the Internet.

   I will try and post some photos and a video of the new place tomorrow.

   I heard on TV that there will be a Social Security increase of 2.3% and that we will get it in January (2008) but I have not found anyone on line about it yet.
  

New Internet Service

 Today or tomorrow should be the last day for me using Atlantic Broadband for Internet service.  I been paying for their fastest service and paying for extra IP numbers.
  I think I been getting 5 Mbps down and 256 Kbps up.
  Friday with Comcast I should be getting 8 Mbps down and 768 Kbps up.  I am not real sure on that.. I guess we will see on Friday.
   
    I just did a speed test using SpeedTest.Net 
    I got a download speed of 4698 kb/s and an upload speed of 230 kb/s.

     That site will show you how you stand with speed.  It says that my connection is 55% faster than other global connections. They have some data and it looks like that right now with the service that I have now.. I am right in the middle with most other people.
      So my hope is that on Friday I am going to be better than everyone else.  Smile.  Well just kidding.. I do hope I get a faster Internet connection.
