GoDaddy

  I got a domain name for my ex-wife today.  She wants me to set up a web site for her.  She wants to sell some items on a web site.
  I use GoDaddy and I have been very happy with their service.  I think I have about 11 domain names with them. 
  So today I ordered the domain and I clicked on use PayPal to pay.  Well you know how you always get taken to your PayPal account.  This time it just say OK and bang it was done and I never was taken to the PayPal account.  So I did not get the chance to check and see if the amount was correct or anything else.  The amount was correct but PayPal took it out of my bank account, because I did not have the money in the PayPal account, and I wanted them to take it out of a different account.  A credit card account that I have said up just for that.  
  I like GoDaddy but I am getting so I fucking hate PayPal.
  Tomorrow I will have to find my bank and get over to them and make a deposit.  I do not have a deposit slip.  It is just going to be a pain in the ass. 

  I went to the doctor on Thursday.  She said I did not need to take the Doxazosin Mesylate (4 mg) since I was taking the Avodart and the Folmax.  Well today I had a hard time pissing.  So I went back to taking the Doxazonsin Mesylate.  It will take a day or two for it to kick in and for me to get back to normal.

  My son in Texas was saying, I guess, that he was going to get his psy meds on June 1st.  Now he says it is July 17th.  He has been saying for months and months that he has a three month supply.
  He must be like Jesus and the fish and the loaves of bread. I worry about him and I worry about my ex-wife because she is worrying about him and she has cancer and does not need to be worrying about other things.

  Life is not easy.

Terrorism Attack

  I am not sure if the news media will call the killing of Dr. George Tiller an act of terrorism or not.  It is terrorism.  He was medical director of an abortion clinic in Wichita KS.  He was shot and killed at his church today.  A few years ago he was shot in both arms. 
  I am no fan of abortions.  I do not think many people are fans.  I guess Dr. Tiller did “late term” abortions and those sort of abortions are even less popular.

 

The United States has defined terrorism under the Federal criminal code. 18 U.S.C. §2331 defines terrorism as:

…activities that involve violent… or life-threatening acts… that are a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of any State and… appear to be intended (i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or (iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping…."

  We should deal with this murder that committed this act of terrorism in the same hash terms as we deal with other people that commit terrorism.
  
  Not having anything to do with this…but we need to try and reduce the number of abortions.  We need sex education.  We need to work with people to try and cut down on people having sex with out using good protection.

  There is no excuse however for killing doctors or bombing clinics.

ShowMeBlog Stats

 People that have blogs and web sites are always interested in how much traffic is coming to their site.  I do not think any of you are interested in the subject.  But I will tell you …smile

  ShowMeBlog gets about 1400 visitors each day.  The average visit length is 1 minute and 16 seconds. 
  Right now at 0400 hours, my time, there are 13 visitors on the blog.  Nine of them are from the United States.  Most of the visitors find the site by a Google search.  But we get a few from a Yahoo search and even an Altavista or other site. 

  Howard’s Notebook gets about 53 visiting the site each day.  The average visit is 30 seconds.  Right now no one is on the site.  About 80% of the traffic that comes to HNB is from people clicking on the link from ShowMeBlog.  The other 20% is from Google and other search sites.

Call from Sweden

  My daughter is married to a very nice Swedish man and they live in Sweden.  Hilary called me today from Sweden.  We talked for about an hour.  She said the phone rates are very cheap in Sweden.
  One reason that she called was that she was worrying about Russell.  He has a kidney stone we think. He has not been to a doctor for it.
  She fired up her webcam and I could see her husband, their apartment and she aimed the camera outside.

  I am off the phone and I can still Hilary’s webcam.
  I just went to the web cam site with my new cell phone and I am watching her streaming video on my new cell phone.  Pretty neat.

  I got to walk to the store and get Russell some water.  I guess I will watch my daughter’s webcam on my cell phone as I walk to the store.

Lost Internet for a hour

  I have Comcast cable and am very happy with it.  I cable service for about an hour.  One thing when you have cable tv, telephone service and Internet from the same company if you lose service not much for you to do but go to bed.  Smile
  I was just getting ready to call Comcast on my cell phone when the TV came back on and then a bit later I got the cable service and phone service back. 
  I was getting ready to post to ShowMeBlog using my new cell phone but we got the service back.  That is one way the cell phone will help.  Not only could I post to ShowMeBlog when I am away from home but if we lose Internet service I could post. 

  Mogulus video is now Livestream video.  It is a much better name.  They got a pretty neat setup for streaming audio and video. 

  I use IncrediMail for my eMail program.  They now are working on a new upgrade and it will be IncrediMail v2.0 and I am running the beta at this time.  It looks nice.  It seems  to work excellent.

  June is Gay Pride month and it is the start of the Hurricane season.  Is there a connection?  Smile
I bet there will be a lot of gay events in the Miami and Ft. Lauderdale area.  (A LOT in Ft. Lauderdale. Smile)  I bet I could get some good videos and photos.  I will have to about finding out where some of the events are located.  Ft. Lauderdale is to far for me.
  I love my new phone but I wish I could have got ham radio so I could be ready for Hurricane season and help out with Skywarn.  I will just hope that storms stay away for about a month and I can get a HT next month for about $200.00 and then let the storms come.

  My son in Texas is having problem with his computer and Windows XP.  I can not get him to try Windows 7. 

  On Howard’s Notebook I got a video area set up and I can have videos that are on other sites and I can have videos that I upload to my own site.  I like the idea of having my own videos because then YouTube and other sites can not screen and reject the content. 
  When I was having my prostate problems and could not piss I put a short video showing what it was like not being able to piss.  They removed the video. 
  Now I could post a video like that on my own site. 
  Any guy good at doing a Testicular Self-Exam?  Make a video and I will post it on my video area.  I did not do a search of YouTube on a search via Google.  There may already be videos like that on the Internet.  I have never done a testicular self-exam.  My insurance company sent me newsletter and it tells how to do one but I have not done it yet.   
  Any woman want to do a breast exam video?  I am sure there are a lot of those on the Internet.  I think even YouTube would allow a female self breast exam video.

  In order to upload to my HNB video area you need to be a member of Howard’s Notebook.  Right now I got signing up turned off because of Russian spam sites.  I can add you by hand if you want to sign up.  Or tell me and I will turn on the ability to sign up for a few hours or the day.
  I will see about getting the auto sign up working and keep the spammers out of the site.  I think if I required a $1.00 PayPal payment that would keep the spammers  out.  I will look around and see what is the best way to do it.  If I set up the $1.00 one time PayPal payment…any of you people that I know can just contact me and I will enter you by hand.  I would just need your name, the user name you want to use to sign in and a password.

Samsung Finesse and MetroPCS Sevice

My comments and feelings after owning and using the Samsung Finesse for 24 hours. I am no expert on cell phones or service plans but here are a few of my comments about the phone and service.

  Here is a photo taken with my new cell phone.  Not bad a bad camera.  OK, it is only 2 MP but it looks good.  Best cell phone camera I have had so far. 
  I think this will work out good for me.  I can post to the blog when I am away from home.  If I lose Internet service at home I can at least post a short post and let you know what is going on.
  The photo above was taken indoors, of course, without flash using my new Samsung Finesse cell phone and sent to the blog.  I think it is pretty neat.

Six Mile Walk

  I took the bus about half way to the doctor’s office yesterday and then walked to his office.  I am guessing I walked 2 miles to his office.
  When I left his office I did not use a bus and I walked home.  I should have used the GPS unit to get the distance but I put it at over a six mile walk just home.  Not bad for a fat old bald man.  Remember we are talking about in the Miami heat. 
  I got a little too much sun and my feet hurt.  Today will be a day of rest.

  I got my new cell phone that I wanted.  I like it.  I have not got 3G service yet on it.  But it seems to load the Internet and do other things fast.  It does not look like at home I can get 3G service with MetroPCS.
  I am playing an extra $4.00 a month for insurance for the phone.  I just signed up for an extra $1.00 a month for their MetroBACKUP plan.  It will be worth the money.  You can backup up your contacts to the Internet and you can log on to their site and add and update your contact information. 
  I spent $12.00 for a SanDisk 4GB microSDHC card for the phone.  It was on sale at Radio Shack.
  If you get the Samsung Finesse phone you will need to get a microSD card for it. 

  I just put AOL IM on the phone.  Not sure if I will use it or not. 
But it is on and does not cost any extra.
