Logitech has a new free program/service out that works with some of their webcams. It works with my Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 so I downloaded the program.
I ran the program and then it asked me to sign up. It asked for name, email address and a password. Then I took a photo. I then logged in as a member of Logitech Vid.
You can then “Add a Friend” or make a “Practice Call.”
From the settings it looks like it is sort of like Skype. You can call someone on list or people can call you. You have the choice of accepting incoming calls automatically.
If you want to add me to your Logitech Vid account I am: [email protected]
The following are the cameras that work with Logitech Vid.
“….The Logitech Webcam Pro 9000 (SRP: $99.99 U.S.), Logitech Portable Webcam C905 (SRP: $99.99 U.S.), Logitech Webcam C600 (SRP: $79.99 U.S.), Logitech Webcam C500 (SRP: $49.99 U.S.), Logitech Webcam C300 (SRP: $49.99 U.S.), Logitech Webcam C250 (SRP: $39.99 U.S.) and Logitech Webcam C200 (SRP: $29.99 U.S.) are expected to be available in the U.S. and Europe beginning in August….”
