I do not know about you but when I see "69" I think sex. There are certain numbers when you see them you think something. There would be 911. Then of course 666.
When I turn 70 that is not a number that has any real meaning but I am going to be thinking old and thinking death. God, 70 years of age sounds real old.
Even 69 is old. You hear someone died at age 69 and you think "Well he was 69." You know if you hear someone died at 40 you way "Wow that was young." So in March I am going to be 69 and very close to 70 years of age.
Russell got his state ID yesterday. You can read about it here.
The weather here was nice. I paid all my bills and got food but I am broke now for an entire month. But I have a ice box full of food. I hope we so do not lose power for 20 hours again. I do not think it will happen. My ex-wife has lived here in this area for 5 years and never lost power until the other day.
Did you notice that I call a refrigerator an "icebox?" I wonder what the age break for "icebox" vs "refrigerator" is age wise.
Remember I am 69. An icebox was what we used before the refrigerator. When I was a kid you would put a sign in your window and the iceman would come down the street in his truck and look up at your window and see how you had turned the sign. He would then chip a block of ice to size and carry it to your home and put in the ice box for you. When I was a kid it was my job to empty the drip pan under the icebox.
Yes the "good old day." Smile
Back to turning 70 next year… Any other numbers that you hear that mean something to you?
Also I was just thinking … When you hear about a 70 year old man.. You think.. Poor old guy I hope he has someone to help him. Then recently we have seen stories were some guy that is 70 or older is still working or doing something and you go "wow." Or you hear of some old guy kicking ass of some young robber or something and you get a big smile on your face and you say "neat" or whatever young people say now days.
I would like to be one of those old guys that kicks some ass in my 70s as long as it does not cause me to wet my pants or cause me to miss my nap.
