It appears that new polls show that President Obama’s poll numbers are back down. Before Republicans get all excited I think the polls do not matter. The new disapproval, I think, is from Democrats that think President Obama is not taking on the Republicans and from the left that is not happy about us being in Libya.
That does not mean votes for Republicans in 2012. We Democrats have no place to go but with President Obama but some of us are not happy about it.
I think President Obama will be re-elected in 2012. That is going to break the heart of Republicans. They want him to be a one term President so bad.
The Republicans, right now, have no one that can beat President Obama. They got a sad group of people that want to run. The problem is that the Tea Party is going to be the ones that pick the Republican to run against President Obama.
In order to get their vote you got to look and act stupid. You have to say that President Obama was not born in the United States and you got to go with all their crazy stupid ideas.
The problem for the Republicans is they got to get the nomination first and at that level the Tea Party is powerful. So the Republicans got to get their vote. So they are already doing and saying stupid things to get their support.
Republicans are going to look stupid and scary to Democrats and independent voters. In fact they are going to scare and turn off Republican voters.
So after being stupid and crazy in the primary elections and getting the Republican nomination they they got to appear normal to American voters.
I do not see how the Republicans can win. It is going to be interesting to watch the process of the Republicans picking their candidate for 2012.

“NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- The year-long wait is over: Google announced Wednesday that it has chosen to deploy its ultra-fast broadband network in Kansas City, Kansas.
Google (GOOG, Fortune 500) will provide broadband Internet access to the city with speeds of about 1 gigabit per second. That's around 100 times faster than what most Americans have available to them today. Google said that the network's speed would be fast enough to download a high-definition, full-length feature film in less than five minutes…”
Oh my God! I was born in Kansas City (MO) and spent all my adult life in Kansas City (MO). I left in 2000. Kansas City (KS), and I am not racist by the way, is a shit hole. I worked one entire year in Kansas City (KS). The KCKS police department was very bad. We are taking scary. I worked with a guy that was racist and a very bad guy and he had been kicked off the Kansas City (KS) police department. They took him back on the force. He told me how he and other police officers used to beat blacks and push them down stairs and say they fell. He was just the sort of guy you do not want to be a police officer and they hired him back.
I do not see how high speed Internet is going to help KCKS. I have been gone 11 years from the area but I do not think anything can help that city.

The American people voted Republicans into office in the last election by big numbers. On the state level they gave Republicans great power and they are trying to change America as we have know it.
I been telling you a great deal about Wisconsin and a little about Texas.
Well time to tell you about Gov. Rick Scott (R-FL) now… He is trying to restructure the Florida court system so that he can take control of the state judiciary. One thing I do not understand is that they do not understand that they are not going to be in control forever. True Florida is a Republican state but that could change and in fact it might because people may start seeing what the GOP is trying to do.
Also Gov. Rick Scott has other plans…He wants mandatory, random drug testing of all state employees. Now on the one hand you might say well OK they should be tested but on the other hand it is like big brother and and a police state. Why not have it like it is now… If you suspect someone is doing drugs then have them tested.
It may be this way now … But make it so if anyone has an accident or some event takes place then drug test them. A state worker has an accident on the job test them for drugs. A police officer fires his gun test him for drugs. But have a reason to test.
But the real picture of what is going on is that he wants anyone receiving public assistance to have drug screening. I think it is pretty clear that he wants to make them look like they are guilty of a crime and he wants to make them sub-human.
But on top of this… And I find this heard to believe… It seems that Gov. Rick Scott owns a chain of healthcare clinics and guess what… Yes if there was drug screening in Florida they would get a lot of business.
He signed over $62 million dollars in Solantic stock (his healthcare clinics) to his wife.
If the drug screening law passes they will get a lot of business and make a lot of money.

“A week after Dane County Circuit Court Judge Maryann Sumi issued a temporary restraining order (TRO) that was meant to delay the publication and implementation of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker's anti-union, pro-corporate power grab, Walker's legislative allies pressured state bureaucrats to publish the measure and then claimed they were free to implement it.
But the law does not work that way. Governors are not kings. They do not get to violate the law at will. And they do not get to dismiss orders from judges…” The Nation
Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker is not only stupid but he is scary. If he will not obey a court order just how far will he go?
“…Referring to the TRO, Sumi said Tuesday afternoon: "Apparently that language was either misunderstood or ignored, but what I said was 'the further implementation of 2011 Wisconsin Act 10 is enjoined. That's what I now want to make crystal clear."
With that, Sumi barred state officials from implementing Walker's law and added, "Now that I've made my earlier order as clear as it possibly can be, I must state that those who act in open and willful defiance of the court order place not only themselves at peril of sanctions, they also jeopardize the financial and the governmental stability of the state of Wisconsin."
Earlier in the day, state Court of Appeals judges rejected a request from Attorney General JB Van Hollen's office to remove barriers to implementation of the law.
So Sumi does not stand alone. She's being backed up by other jurists…” The Nation
I was going to wait a year to see if Governor Walker would be removed from office. But now I am wondering what the state law is in Wisconsin when a Governor is arrested and is found guilty of a crime. But right now it looks like the Attorney General of the state is the one with his head on the chopping block.

In July of 2010 a big story on the Internet was “Jessie Slaughter” and her videos. I was not going to comment on it until I found out she was the number one search on Google.
I made a video about it and here is that video. It has got 29,925 views since July 18, 2010.
Now one year later is the news story of “Jessie Slaughter’s Dad Charged with Child Abuse.”
“The father of a Florida seventh grader whose profanity-laced video prompted online death threats last year has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his daughter.
Gene Leonhardt, 53, was charged by police in Marion County, Fla., with child abuse in the incident, which occurred last month.
According to the police report, first reported on the website Smoking Gun, the girl said she had been arguing with her father when he "punched her, causing her to have a bloody and swollen lips."
Leonhardt pleaded not guilty to the child abuse charge and was freed on $5,000 bond.
The girl, who goes by the screen name "Jessi Slaughter," saw her YouTube video rocket across the Internet last summer. In it, her rage boiled with violent threats and graphic language that she used against online tormentors she said were bullying her…”
I said in my video that we would be hearing more about this family. At least, I think, I said that. I do not want to watch my video over again to find out what I said but I seem to remember that. I been wondering what happened to the family. About a year later we find out that there are still problems. I do not think anyone is surprised by this event.

“Despite the backlash growing around the country, Republicans in DC are gearing up to strip union rights at the federal, starting with rail and air workers. Huff Post's Amanda Terkel discussed their strategy with Rachel last night.”
Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy
“On Thursday, the House will vote on H.R. 658, FAA Reauthorization and Reform Act of 2011, sponsored by Rep. Mica (R-FL). This legislation contains the anti-union provisions discussed by Amanda Terkel. Steve Benen has more here. There's a good chance it will pass. Last week, John wrote how Delta Airlines is apparently bumping paying passengers to fly union-busters to DC to lobby for the Mica bill.
Will the Senate stop the anti-union effort if it passes the House? Will Obama veto it?”

“WASHINGTON -- The Maine Department of Labor quietly took down a mural depicting the state's labor history over the weekend, after Gov. Paul LePage (R) sparked controversy last week byordering it removed and saying it was biased against businesses and employers.
“The mural has been removed and is in storage awaiting relocation to a more appropriate venue," said LePage Press Secretary Adrienne Bennett in a statement provided to The Huffington Post. "Workers and employers need to work together to create opportunity for Maine's 50,000 unemployed. We understand that not everyone agrees with this decision, but the Maine Department of Labor has to be focused on the job at hand."
"This is government censorship at its worst," said state Rep. Diane Russell (D), who has been an outspoken advocate on labor rights…”
“(CNN) -- Maine GOP Gov. Paul LePage followed through with his decision to remove a mural depicting the history of the workers' movement from the state's labor department lobby, a spokeswoman said Monday.
"The mural has been removed and is in storage awaiting relocation to a more appropriate venue," said LePage press secretary Adrienne Bennett in a prepared statement. "We understand that not everyone agrees with this decision, but the Maine Department of Labor has to be focused on the job at hand."
The controversy over the 36-foot-long, 11-panel mural erupted last week when a LePage administration official announced that the artwork would be removed and that conference rooms dedicated to American labor movement icons would be renamed.
Administration officials said the change was needed to reflect a new image for the department, one not tilted toward organized labor. They said visitors to the lobby had complained that the mural is anti-business.
Maine AFL-CIO president Don Berry called it "a spiteful, mean-spirited move by the governor that does nothing to create jobs or improve the Maine economy."
Last week, acting Maine Labor Commissioner Laura Boyett announced a contest to replace the names affixed to the conference rooms. The names to be replaced include Cesar Chavez and Frances Perkins…”
These right wing Republicans are the same type of Republicans that objected to the movies; “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington” and “It’s a Wonderful Life.”
There is something wrong with these people. They act like they love America and attack everyone else for being un-American but they hate everything that is good about America.
“…LePage's office originally said that the governor made his decision after complaints from businesses owners, eventually pointing to a single anonymous letter, in which the author said that when looking at the mural, he or she felt like it was something from "communist North Korea."
In an e-mail to The Huffington Post, Bennett also pointed to a Sunday blog post by Mike Violette, a conservative radio host in Maine, along with other anonymous statements from employers who support what LePage is doing and believe the mural has helped make the Department of Labor a "militant, angry, business-hating environment."
There have been several protests at the Department of Labor, and one attendee suggested forming a human chain to block the mural's removal. When asked by WCSH 6 what he would do if protesters did indeed form a chain, LePage replied, "I'd laugh at them, the idiots. That's what I would do. Come on! Get over yourselves!"”

One thing Ron Paul is correct about is that we need to go back to Congress passing a Declaration of War when we do go to war.
President Franklin D. Roosevelt was the lasts American president that signed a Declaration of War! That is in 1941.
The Korean War we had no choice. We had troops in South Korea and North Korea attacked. President Harry S Truman had to commit military forces to Korea.
At some point he should have gone to Congress for them to declare war.
The Vietnam War we got sucked into it day by day. The President of the United States should have the ability to send in training troops and some other limited forces to any area of the world that it is in our best interest. But at some point there needs to be a point when he has to ask Congress to declare war. I am not sure where that point should be but I am sure some very smart people do know.
The Gulf War was a just war. Iraq did an invasion of Kuwait. The UN authorized the war and we were part of a coalition of 34 other nations. But President Bush (the first one) should have had to ask Congress for a declaration of war. Now I am not sure if he could have got it. That is our system of government. We have to live with it and get it.
The Afghanistan War was a just war. We were attacked on 9/11. The President Bush (II) was correct to send in forces to deal with the problem. She should have asked for declaration of war and he would have got it from Congress and the American people with out any questions.
The Iraq War was not a just war. He was a lie. President Bush and his gang should have been removed from office because of it and should have gone to jail for it. It was a crime.
Now the matter of Libya is one of confusion. It is not war. I think the President of the United States should have the ability to respond with force in a matter like Libya but it puts us right on the edge of the issue.
Any time we declare war or go to war the American people should have to pay for it with taxes. If we are not willing to pay for it with a war tax then we should not be going to war.
The American people did pay for WWII with taxes and bonds.
We also need to have at all times compulsory military service (the draft) in the United States. If a American citizen can not go to into the military or war, for some reason, they need to do civilian public service, for two times the length of the military service.
So if everyone has to give 2 years to military service and someone will not or can not serve in the military then they should have to do other service for 4 years.
If you do not do your compulsory service then you should not be allowed to vote, hold public office, work for United States, work for any part of the military industrial complex etc. You should not be allowed any sort of government benefits.
Right now I do not see any of the above taking place. I think the American people do like the idea of Congress having to do a declaration of war. But I do not see ANY interest in the American people paying taxes, ever, to pay for a war and I see NO interest in the draft.
