I been waiting and watching for the new android 2.2 upgrade for my Virgin Mobile Intercept. They said it would be about the 25th of March. That is today. Now they are saying it will be on April 4th.
They have a lot of unhappy customers posting on their Facebook page.

As far as official updates, I went thru the bricked phone crap with Sprint... I'm ok with them taking a tad bit longer. But they make sure its right.
