Charter Basic Channels

  Two salesmen from Charter Communications came to the door.  I ended up signing up for Basic TV.  It is going to cost me a $10.00 install fee and an extra $10.00 a month.
  I will get 31 channels of TV.  I am not sure why I signed up.  I only have a small TV in the kitchen.  For my computer I can hook up the USB device and feed the cable into it.  But that means I got to run a cable from the living room down the hall and into my bedroom to hook to my computer.
  I just looked at the paper work and it looks like I got a special deal of $9.99 a month for the TV service.  It looks like the special price is good for 6 months and it looks like the normal price is $24.99 a month!  I sure am not going to pay $25.00 a month for basic TV channels.  I think that $25.00 a month might be for people that do not have Internet service.  I think if I remember correct if you have Internet service you can get basic TV service for $10.00 a month.  I guess I will find out in six months.

Birther Nuts Say Obama’s Birth Certificate is a Fake!

  I think most real Republicans and normal people just accept the long form Obama birth certificate and want this entire matter over.  
  Republicans want this matter over and want to put as much distance as they can between them and the crazy birther people.
  I do not have cable so I do not know how Fox News is reporting the matter.  But they are not a real news media service.

But I am seeing comments left all over the Internet by the birther people.  They do not accept the long form birth certificate.  They find problems with it. 
Plus they say they do not accept it because he waited so long to release it.  They say if it was real he would have put it out three years ago.

  I will be interested to see the polls when they come out.  Remember 4 out of 10 Republicans did not believe that President Obama was born in the United States.  What will the new numbers show after his release of the long form certificate.
  I said right after his release that I was thinking the new numbers would be 1 or 2 out of 10 but now I am not sure. 

  If the number is still 4 out of 10 then I think what we have is the % of Republicans that are racist. 

Teacher Arrested For Naked Stroll at School

  The smoking Gun seems to always come up with news and some interesting stories but I object to their story “Teacher Busted For Naked Stroll in School Hallway.”

  “APRIL 28--A teacher who stripped off his clothes and walked naked around a Georgia elementary school gave cops a New Age explanation for his behavior, claiming that he had achieved a “new level of enlightenment” and “wanted everybody to be free now that his third eye was open," according to a police report…”

  He did it after school and there were no kids there. 
  My objection to the story is that they make fun of him and the entire matter and then at the very end of the story they tell you that he has schizophrenic.  So he has a very bad medical condition.  He should not have even been arrested.  He should have been taken to a hospital. 

Trump Avoided Vietnam

   The Smoking Gun got documents that show that Donald Trump avoided servicing in the military and having to go to Vietnam.  Remember he was the son of a VERY rich man.
   That information could be why he never runs for political office.  He has lied about why he did not go into the military.  He has said that he had a very high number but the truth is that he got four student deferments and one medical deferment.

  

  The reason, I think, it is so bad is that he has been saying on TV recently that if he was President of the United States he would use the military power of the United States to kick ass. He has said he would take the oil from other nations and do all sort of crazy and wild things and now we find that he did everything he could to not go into the military and serve his nation in uniform.
  Also his father was a multimillionaire and it seems that when Republicans have money their sons have not served in the military. 

  By the way… Donald Trump and I have something in common!  No not a rich father.
I also got a “1-Y” medical deferment.  We also have something else in common.  We both went to a military high school.
  But after high school I went down to join the military and they refused to take me because I was so under weight.  Donald Trump went to college after high school.
  Both of us a few years after high school got called down for our Selective Service Physical Exam.  I passed and was issued a 1-A card and I went right to the Army and attempted to join.  They said they had a list of everyone that was 1-A and I was on the list and they would have been contacting me to join if I had not come down.  So I started filling out paper work to join and picking what I wanted to do in the military and then they checked with the Selective Service again and found that they had failed to look at my height and weight and that I was under weight and the Selective Service told them that they would send me a new card and that I was “1-Y”.  So the Army showed me the door.  Later the SS would change all people that were “1-Y” to “4-F”.
  Donald Trump also got called for his physical examination and failed for some reason and he got a “1-Y" card that was later changed to “4-F”.

  I will be glad when we do not have to hear about Donald Trump.  I am sure most real Republicans feel the same way.  Most of the right wing blogs I have seen call Donald Trump a Democrat.  So you know they fucking hate him.
  Truth is I am not sure Trump has a party other than the Donald Trump Party.  He is just a self promoter.  He is like the balloon boy dad except smarter and he has lots of money.

Monarchy

  I enjoyed watching the Royal wedding.  I watched via the CNN live feed.  They did a great job.  The precision military marching and traditions were just great.
  We broke from the crown and we went a different direction and we have a great history and our way was great for us and the world.

  Now having said that… It would be great to have a head of state that we did not attack and hate and try and impeach and try and remove from office every day.
  We could have a system of our own but a bit like the United Kingdom.  It would require changes to our entire federal system however.
  We could still have a President elected each four year and he would have some powers. So he would be the head of state but then have the Speaker of the House be the Prime Minister.  We could do it without having a king.
  The idea being that the President would then be above the petty battles.  
  Maybe he should be elected for like 6 years and only one term.  So he would never be trying to get re-elected. 
  I guess it is a bad idea but I sure do like the idea that we have a head of state that we do not attack and hate.  It has got to the point now that is like there are two Americas. 

  I read a number of right wing blogs and they were critical of the Royal wedding. 
  The right in this nation are just no fun.  They just seem so hate filled and so negative about everything.  They need to enjoy life.
  The only thing that would make them happy is if they could control everyone and turn us all into their Stepford wives bitches. 

I been dizzy for the last three days…

  For the last three or four days I am dizzy when I first get up out of bed.  I am a person that jumps up from bed.  No longer.  Now I need to set on the bed for a few minutes and wait for the room to stop spinning.
  What is more of a surprise is now when I lay down in bed it feels like my bed is spinning.  I even sort of hold on to the bed so I don’t fly off the bed.

  I think it is one of my blood pressure medications that is the cause of it.  I think it is the Benazepril HCL 20 mg that I take two times a day.
  I think I will not take it tonight and then take it at noon each day for the next few days and see how I do.  If I still have a problem on Monday I will made an appointment with the doctor.
 
  It is time for my nap.  So I get to feel what it is like for a person to be drunk.  I have never been drunk in my life… But when I lay down for my nap for a minute or two I am going to feel my bed spinning.

Bird feeder

  I am 70 years old and I have never had a bird feeder before. I have fed birds in the winter time when their was snow and ice on the ground.  When I lived in FL I would feed the ducks all the time but I never lived anyplace were I had a bird feeder up.
  I got a cheap bird feeder at Walgreens for $3.30 and a bag of bird food for $6.00 and I hung up the feeder just before it got dark.  So I will see tomorrow if the birds find it.

  I think I would like to have a better bird feeder but I will see how this one works out.

 

  It looks like I got mixed seed.  It will be interesting to see what sort of birds show up and feed.  If I can get some photos I will post them here. 
  I got room out on my patio for more feeders but I think I will hang plants instead.  I am not a bird lover for some reason.

Not sure if President Obama did the right thing

  I saw the statement that President Obama made when he released his long form birth certificate.  It was a great statement.  It said just the correct things.  Excellent statement.
  But I am not sure that it was the right thing for him to do.  I do not think the crazy birther people are going to pay any attention to it.  They will just say that it is a fake or that something is missing on it or something.  I do not think it matters to them.  They hate President Obama and mostly because he is black.  Yes I am saying that most if not all of the birther people, now, are just flat out racist.
  He was never going to get any of their votes. 
  I been saying that the birther issue has been politically advantageous to the Democrats.  It shows to everyone that the Republicans are crazy out of control nuts. 
  It also had the Republicans that wanted to run in a lose lose dug heap.  They could not put down the birther nuts but getting any where near them was toxic to their chance to be elected President of the United States.
  The Democrats could just set and watch the Republican candidates being chewed up and everything they said would come back in the election to cost them major votes.

  I think I would have just set back and watched and laughed.  But as President Obama said we got important issue that we need to work on and that crazy circus sideshow that the Republicans are mixed up in is now helping us get things done.
  I think President Obama has done a great service to the Republican Party.  They should give him an award.  But I guess it depends on how they handle it now.  I have not heard what the candidates are saying.  If they say well he released the long form and the matter is now settled and over then the GOP will be better and they can get out from under the birther circus tent.

April 28, 2011 – Great day so far

  Yes, I changed the look and design of ShowMeBlog again.  Those of you that read this blog by a RSS reader have no idea how often I change the look of the blog.  The poor people that read this blog by coming to the site have seen a lot of different designs.
  This is one I have used before.  I like it because there is lots of room for my post and I can fit a large video in a post.  I always have to adjust the sidebar.  I always need more room for stuff in the sidebar. 

  You will see some android stuff in the size bar.  I love the TuneIn Radio Pro and Scanner Radio Pro.  Everyone is crazy about Angry Birds.  I have not tried the TV.Com yet.  I am going to check it out.  Skype has an android app that I want to try out.

  I am very happy with my new bank.  It is Wells Fargo.  The people are very nice and their web site is excellent.  Jim Howard saying that he likes a bank is something…. I start out not liking banks.  I have had some problems with banks in the past.  I blogged about those problems here.

  I am very happy with my Samsung Intercept now that I have android 2.2 on it.  The battery life is much better. 

President Obama on his birth certificate
