“Low prices. Every day. On everything.” I guess that is the new slogan for Wal-Mart.
I am not sure if their sales have gone down or if sales have not increased at the rates they think they should and they are taking steps to get sales up and customers back in their doors.
Part of the problem might be that Americans have less money to spend. Almost 10% not working and the price of gas and other things going up means you have less to spend at Wal-Mart.
Americans love to get cheap prices and working Americans love to go and buy from Wal-Mart. At the same time we know they are evil.
It is a shame … At some point Wal-Mart could have made the decision to join the forces of light and they could have turned away from the dark side. Just think if Wal-Mart had decided to be a good employer and not only that been a great employer.
If they had shared their profits with the workers.
Their greed has paid off for the family and the stock holders but the family is going to burn in the fires of hell and they missed the chance to be great.
They are just now an evil empire and one of many. They could have been a great American business.
"Many laughed to see this alteration in him, but he let them laugh and little heeded them. His own heart laughed and that was quite enough for him. And it was always said of him that he knew how to keep Christmas well if any man alive possessed the knowledge."
Ebenezer Scrooge
