I did not get out on Black Friday. I do not remember ever getting out on Black Friday. I did work at CompUSA in Miami for a year and I had to work on Black Friday.
Back in Kansas City many years ago I worked for Radio Shack. I was training to be one of the store managers. The general manager got me to go to work for them by telling me that they were building a Radio Shack in Belton, they were, and that I would be the manager. I lived in Belton. I worked through Thanksgiving and Christmas time at the Bannister Mall Radio Shack. I was then sent to the Grandview Radio Shack. Then they opened, at last, the Belton Radio Shack and the general manager gave the store to a guy that was already a manager and he also lived in Belton. So I quit Radio Shack and told them to shove the job.
I know the manager and I at Bannister Mall worked our asses off for Radio Shack. It was a brand new mall and a brand new store.
I think everyone knows this already. Radio Shack sucks as an employer. I knew that before I went to work for them and I only took the job because I wanted to work at the store in Belton.
If I had the money I might have headed over to Radio Shack to pick up something on Black Friday.
They have a Radio Shack PRO-107 handheld iScan Trunking Scanner. The normal pricd is $199.99 and it is on sale for $129.99 through 11/26/2011. It is a kick ass scanner. It works more like a iPod player than a normal radio scanner. Pretty neat idea behind it.
I have had a lot of scanners over the years. I think I have had more scanners that computers and I have had a LOT of computers.
A handheld scanner even saved my life one day.
