I just made my second loan via MicroPlace. I also make loans via Kiva. I have made 33 loans via Kiva.
Both I am sure do good works. If you want to help out check out MicroPlace and Kiva. I think Kiva is a little bit more simple to get in and make loans.

Please everyone this is not a third world nation. Please this New Years PLEASE do fire off guns. I heard gun fire here last New Year’s night. In fact I think I have pretty much heard gun fire here each New Year’s night and on the 4th of July.
It is stupid to fire off guns into the air. Pretty much stupid to fire off anyplace but at a range or hunting. In Kansas City last year some guys were firing off guns into a pool or lake in an apartment and one of the bullets killed a young girl in her back yard.
Please do not be a stupid ass hole and fire off guns. Plus you should not be drinking and then going and getting your guns.
If you are around someone … this year stop them from firing off guns… If you know of someone doing it please call 911.

I been playing Civilization IV for years. I still play on the easy mode. I always win. I just like trying to build up my cities and get all the area to myself.
I do not play multi-player. My son and grandson can not believe how I play the game. They are big time into games and gamming.
I downloaded today Civilization V. I played it for a hour or so on the easy learning mode. It looks like it will be fun. I just got a lot of learning to do.
I downloaded it from Amazon.
Well I guess Steam is the company that had it on there or something. So I have ended up with a Steam account. All of a sudden Russell thinks I am cool. He came in my room and was talking to me about games and about Steam. Man, if I had only known.. All I had to go to have something in common with him was join Steam.
Russ says that if you use Steam you can find me by searching for my email address: showmeblog@gmail.com
I have my real name on their also: Jim Howard
I guess I have a Steam profile: http://steamcommunity.com/id/hnbbs
I got a feeling you all know about Steam and I am the last person in the world or the Internet to know anything about it.

Well 2011 is almost over. Just today and two more days and we will be in 2012.
I never did the math when I was young. I did not think I would be alive when 2000 got here. (If you can call living in Texas being alive. )
In the past when 2000 was mentioned or the movie came out or something like that would come up I did not think I would be around for 2000. I sure did not think I would be here to see 2012. I know… I am not very smart. If I had done the math I would have known that I might be around for it.
I always felt that I was old for some reason. At each mile stone I reached I would think I was old. When I was 26 I felt well man am I old and my life is just about over. Well it was just about over. I got married at age 26.
I also did not think I would be “retired” one day. I was thinking that I would work all my life and then be shot in the line of duty or fall asleep driving a car and end up dead. (I never did think that I might fall asleep behind the wheel and kill someone else. It should have but it never did. If I have trouble sleeping all I need to do is get behind the wheel of a car and start driving. Someone like me is as dangerous as a drunk driver. Do not worry I do not own a car now. I can not afford one.
It feels odd to me to be out early when people are getting in their cars to go to work. I feel like that should be me.
I would not mind working now but with my large prostate and stuff…It is a pain… I have to go all the time to the bathroom and I can’t wait. So if I was working I would have to go direct to the bathroom. I could not be in the middle of something and wait until I was done. Not many employers would want an employee like that. Plus hard to get jobs now days and I don’t need to take some job and keep some young person with a family from having the job.
Darlene just called me. She is having to turn on her computer 20 or 30 times to get it to come on. It will shut down on her when she is working. But she is not doing listings right now. She is just filling orders.
I told her at the end of January I will get a new desktop and give her this laptop computer. I have to wait until Google issues me a payment. They pay around the 25th of the month.

“Ben Breedlove On Christmas night, our son, Ben Breedlove received a gift greater than any we could have given him. He stood in the presence of his Lord and Savior and felt the peace that surpasses all understanding. Ben's 18-year-old heart may have been afflicted with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, but his physical limitations didn't keep him from experiencing the things he loved---in fact, he found extraordinary ways to expand on those experiences and take us all along for the ride. He had a curiosity for learning (remember the drum kit?), and his quick, analytical mind sought ways to be the best at whatever captured his attention. He loved wakeboarding, shooting, and playing Call of Duty. His claim to fame was when he and little brother, Jake, beat Colt McCoy and Jordan Shipley in an online match. And they did it gleefully! There are so many ways to describe Ben: he was witty, sharp and funny, and his pranks were legendary. Just ask the unsuspecting drivers on City Park Road! He knew how to operate outside the system, while accomplishing his goals in an honorable fashion. While Ben never seemed to take anything seriously, his happy- go-lucky nature was matched with a warm, loving and candid personality. His YouTube channel gives witness to what his legion of female admirers thought of him! And now the world has come to know our Ben. He was a genius at using the Internet to reach and influence his peers. Through his brilliance with maneuvering the capabilities of YouTube, Ben has left a message for his generation. In the weeks prior to his death, he had faced some scary situations with his health, but had been given an amazing gift that he was determined to share; first with us, his family, and then, not surprisingly (and generously) with his YouTube audience. We know the Lord used the amazing life of our precious son to reach a weary world on Christmas night, just as He did over 2000 years ago with his own Son. We invite you to visit YouTube, and just enter "Ben Breedlove" and receive the gift that Ben hoped would change your life. Ben was abundantly loved by his devoted family: parents, Shawn and Deanne; sister, Ally; and brother, Jake. Waiting to start the party in Heaven were both his grandmothers, Jan Breedlove and Sue Raine. Ben left grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, countless friends of the family, fellow students at Westlake High School, and members of the Internet Generation to mourn the loss of his creativity, wittiness and beautiful smile. Ben has left a lasting impression and legacy far beyond his 18 years. While the pain of losing Ben will never be far, his life is serving a greater purpose. You were always full of surprises, Ben, and this is the best one yet! "May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord." Memorial services will be conducted at three o'clock in the afternoon, Thursday, the 29th of December at Gateway Church, 7104 McNeil Drive, Austin, Texas 78729. Tributes may be made at www.cookwaldenfuneralhome. com”
