We lost Internet connect yesterday for a short period of time. We got it back OK. Today we lost the Internet service and it has been off for hours and hours.
I must have waited for five hours or more before I called Charter. We still have cable TV it is the Internet we lost. The people next door also do not have Internet service.
Well I went through the auto check system with the computer. I disconnected everything and followed all the test. Then I got switched over to a real human.
She was very nice but she also wanted me to try a few things and unplug a few things. We did all that.
In a post a few days ago I mentioned how blasting fast our Internet service was and mentioned the higher download and upload speeds. She said I see they gave you a free speed upgrade last month! She said you now have 30 Mbs down! We did have 18 down. So that explains the speed increase I noticed last week.
Well I am not sure when you will see this post. Because she said they would have the service tech come out Thursday between 3 and 5 PM. It is Tuesday at 7 PM now.
I told her to go ahead and sign me up for the $5.00 a month plan that takes care of the cost of any in house problems.
I think we may get the Internet service back. We had a lot of rain the other day and the Charter cable boxes set on the ground right next to the buildings here and I think is going to be the problem.
Looks like the Internet service just came back on. I will post this now.
