I always enjoyed taking photos in low light level. I always hated to use a flash.
I do know if you learn how to use flash units you can get some great photos.
My Canon G12 has a dial setting for low light. I could go into the settings and tell it not to do auto ISO. I could pick a number as high as 12,800 and put that number in but I just leave it on auto. When you use the low light setting it takes photos that are 2.5 megapixels.
Here are two photos that I took about an hour ago.
I think it is pretty neat. That was without a tripod of course. I am going to be playing with that mode.
I love my Canon G12. I wish it was a bit smaller but I do not want to give up any of the functions of the camera.
