Back in February Kodak told the world that it was going out of the digital camera business. For people my age that is hard to believe.
"...By the end of June, Kodak expects to phase out its digital cameras, pocket video cameras, and digital picture frames, the company announced today. The company plans to focus heavily on its current brand licensing and on attracting companies that might need some of its patents. Kodak will still offer its online Kodak Gallery service and retail-based photo printing. Its inkjet printers will also remain on store shelves..." CNet
I notice, on Amazon, that some of the Kodak EasyShare cameras seem to be priced pretty cheap. Like the Kodak EasyShare Z990 12 MP has a list price of $449.00 and it is $184.95 now. I wonder what was the price before their announcement.
I would not have a problem buying a digital camera from them because they are going out of the business. I might buy an extra battery or two.
I have a Canon camera right now.
