I'm honored to announce that, in celebration of One World Trade Center becoming the tallest building in New York, EarthCam has released a time-lapse movie showcasing the construction progress from 2004-2012.
Since 2004, our cameras have captured over 1 million high definition images of the construction progress, which have been archived for historic record. The camera was recently upgraded to our latest technology, the new 16 MegapixelCam Robotic, which is also capable of producing incredible 700 megapixel panoramas. This exciting time-lapse is a way for people around the world to see the ongoing progress that's being made at the site.
