Cat fight: Ann Coulter criticizes Sarah Palin

“…Coulter, having observed that Palin has been one of the loudest voices to promote both a "brokered convention" and herself as the solution to that deadlock, jumped to what she saw as a problem in the GOP:

Coulter said that might be a weakness in the Republican Party as a whole — that certain individuals become celebrities and are allowed to profit off that status and yet still interfere in GOP politics, which Democrats have been able to avoid.

"And just a more corporate problem is I think our party and particularly our movement, the conservative movement, does have more of a problem with con men and charlatans than the Democratic Party," she said. "I mean, the incentives seem to be set up to allow people — as long as you have a band of a few million fanatical followers, you can make money. The Democrats have managed to figure out how not to do that."

Coulter's solution? Another one of those pledge thingies. Hers would preclude Republican presidential candidates from seeking to "profit off of political stardom." "I want them to sign a pledge," said Coulter, "saying, 'If I lose the nomination I pledge I will not take a gig with Fox News or write a book.'"

I'm not entirely sure how this would work -- the pre-primary season candidate memoir seems to be a perennial fixture of the presidential cycle, and occasionally, they are very profitable. I'd also point out that while Mike Huckabee definitely parlayed his presidential candidacy into a lucrative television career, it seems to me that he has managed to do this in a fairly humble and tasteful way.

 

Besides, in politics, one needn't achieve "stardom" to end up some sort of well-compensated embarrassment. Just look at Evan Bayh!

  I would hate to agree with Ann Coulter on anything but I think she is right about the current problem the GOP has.  What is funny is that Ann Coulter is one of the biggest Con Men and Charlatans that the Republicans have.
  Ann Coulter will say anything to sell her books.  She will say anything in the books and in interviews and speeches.

  I know saying “cat fight” in to PC.  I just could not help myself.
By the way in a fight I think Sarah Palin would beat the crap out of Ann Coulter.  I am not talking about a verbal fight I am talking about a real fight.  What do you think?

TXU Customer Support? Call in sick today.

  I am very happy with TXU Energy.   I think the price is good and I like their web site and that I can see how much power I am using each day, week, month etc.
  I know how much my bill is going to be even before I get the bill.
Pretty neat.
  But this week they messed up!  Not sure if Leap Year was the cause but I got the email below and it shows that for one day  (Tuesday) that I used 5833 KW of power!  So my electric cost for that one day would be $508.00

  I am sure their computer messed up.  In fact I already paid the bill for the month they are talking about and the total cost for the month was $30.95

  So if you are a customer support employee for TXU energy in the Fort Worth area you may want to call in sick today and miss work.  I am sure I am not the only person that got an email like that and there are going to be some upset and screaming and worried customers calling today.

Romney wins and Palin gives a “speech”

  I am surprised that Romney won the CPAC straw poll.  
I am also surprised that the CPAC conference had Sarah Palin give the keynote speech.   Her 15 minutes are over with now.  Plus she makes a very poor speech. 

 

    If you want to see what sort of speech she makes just watch the one above.  What a total loser.  I would think this is about the last we hear about her.  She has nothing to offer.

I had no idea how our donkey would react beforehand. Please excuse my playing. I was too distracted, LOL!
I bought Donkeyotee when he was a starving 4 and 1/2 month old colt who had been errantly weaned at 2 and 1/2 months of age. My vet didn't think he would make it through that first night. He was skin and bones, his ears drooped down, and he was too weak to take more than a single shuffling step on his own. Reported the previous owner to animal control and they investigated.
He is 8 years old now and very healthy. He makes me smile every day with his antics. You never know what can happen when you help an animal in need.

God talks to Pat Robertson

  We miss Pat Robertson.  Remember when he was running a few years ago and trying to be the Republican candidate for President of the United States?  He got the evangelical Christian vote that year.  God, we miss him.

  But the Rev. Pat Robertson is still around and God is still talking to him.  God told him who the next President will be. 

  Pat Roberson will not tell us who God said will be the next President.  But he did say:
