Well it is about time. But it is to little and to late.
The amount of Medicare and Medicaid fraud is massive. Doctors and other health care corporations are stealing billions of dollars.
If we add more federal agents to this sort investigation it does not cost us money. It saves us money.
The problem is not old people on Medicare or poor people on Medicaid. They are not the crooks. The crooks are “doctors” and lawyers and medical corporations.
The Republican Governor of Florida is just one sample of the fraud and crime taking place in the United States.

A handful of these people get arrested from time to time. So the FBI and the government can take credit for doing something. I wonder how often these arrests just happen to take place before an election?
Do you get the picture. A guy is the head of a massive corporation that steals billions of dollars from the American people and nothing happens to him. Well something happens to him he get elected the Republican Governor of Florida.
Some of you may remember that when I was living in Orlando (FL) that I took a job with a contract guard company. They were so happy when I walked in the door.
They had the contract to provide security for a Columbia/HCA hospital.
So they put me in charge and sent me out to the Columbia/HCA hospital.
I had to work there a few months. It was the worst hospital I have even seen. They could do nothing correct. I guess the only thing that a Columbia/HCA do is steal money.

“A study published this week in the journal Cancer shows that people who have had dental X-rays are more likely to develop a type of brain tumor called meningioma than those who have not. This does not prove that X-rays cause tumors, but supports previous research about the connection. Dental X-rays have also beenimplicated in thyroid cancer.
"It’s a cautionary tale ... we do know that radiation can cause tumors, and we have to be judicious with its use," said Dr. Donald O’Rourke, an associate professor of neurosurgery at the University of Pennsylvania who was not involved in the study.
Meningiomas are the most frequently occurring tumor in the head. They are located in the meninges, the tissues covering the brain. The vast majority are "benign" - or noncancerous - but, depending on their location, could cause blindness or other serious neurological damage. Those in the skull base are more difficult to remove in their entirety. Depending on the tumor, surgery may not be required…”
We have all had dental X-rays. I see more and more signs up calling on people to have their very small kids having dental checkups.
Also what about the scanners at the airports.
I worked hospital security for ten years at a small hospital in Belton. I can not count the number of times that I was called back to x-ray to hold a combative patient so they could x-ray him. Plus it did not even have to be a combative patient. Often it was a patient with big shoulders and I needed to pull down on both of their arms so they could get all of c7 view they needed.
I was called back to help so many times. Even called back to x-ray one time to hold a women up so they could do a chest x-ray. She could not stand without help. I went back and the x-ray tech said “Jim would you help hold this lady?” I said “This is no lady it is my ex-wife!” It was my ex-wife at the hospital with breathing problems.
I wonder how much radiation I have had?
I had a 9:45 AM appointment to have my pacemaker checkup and see the doctor. I had the cab pick me up at 8:00 AM. It took 15 minutes to get there. I am always early for appointments.
I was never late for school when I was a kid. If I was going to be late I turned around and went back home.
The cab cost $21.25 and I gave the driver a $5.00 tip on top of that. The office appointment cost $35.00 and it cost $2.00 to get home on the bus.
My pacemaker is working 95% of the time. It is keeping my heart rate up and telling my heart when to beat. The battery check says that the battery should last for 10 and a half more years! Wonder if I get a battery like that for my cell phone?

I fainted at Walgreen on Friday night (October 15, 2010) at about 8:30 PM. The Walgreen staff was excellent. I fainted because my heart rate was 25. That is a complete heart block. That heart rate does not support life.
The Fort Worth EMS came. First the firefighters/EMTs and they were great. Saved my life I am sure. Then the ambulance paramedics came. Again they were great.
I went to Texas Health - Harris Methodist - Fort Worth hospital. They were excellent. The hospital has wonderful staff. All of them from transporters, food service, house cleaning to the doctors. I was on the 4th floor a medical heart unit. The staff that took care of me were wonderful people. I know hospital and medical workers. I worked 30 years, and 6 hospital, and these people were great.
They put a pacemaker in me. I do not like things like that...But I sure do not want to faint and end up dead.”

They seem to say yes but I am not sure they have the facts. They do spell out how important Obamacare is to many people. They got some great information about the Affordable Health Care Act (Obamacare).
I do not think we know yet about who paid for Dick Cheney’s new heart.
I have no problem with Medicare or the federal insurance we gave him paying for it.
It is just that Republicans are not willing to help the rest of us have national health care.
Even if Dick Cheney paid for the new heart and all the other medical problems he had with money out of his pocket we still paid for it all.

Just look at his history above. He was a Republican he worked in the White House for Republican Presidents. Then he was in the House. Then he was Secretary of Defense and made contact with the Halliburton Company. Then when he gets out of government he becomes head of Halliburton Company.
So you and I have paid for his heath care … all of it … all of his adult life… Plus he made millions for Halliburton Company before he went to work for them and then made millions for them after that.
Every time his heart beats he should be thanking the American people.

The doctor’s office sent me a copy of my lab work. I have an appointment to see the doctor on the 5th of this month.

Well I am sure the doctor is going to want to put me on medication to lower my cholesterol levels. I will see what the doctor says on Monday.

The BUN result is high it is 29 and normal is 7 to 25.
The cGFR is low at 54 and normal is above 60.
Since I am on a water pill I was wondering about Potassium and it is 4.2 and normal is 3.5 to 5.3.
My Sodium level was 140 and normal is 135 to 146.

I will see what the doctor has to say but it looks like I have kidney problems. It looks like I am in stage 3 of kidney damage. But I will see on Monday what the doctor thinks about the results.
I am not worrying about the results. I guess I will wait and see if the doctor is worried first.
Some how my medications are all messed up.
The doctor, I guess, forgot to write the Rx for Carvedilos (12.5 Mg two times a day) and I just ran out.
My old Rx for Benazepril HCL (20 Mg) was take two a day. I see the new Rx that I got filled today is take one per day.
Not good to have two of your blood pressure medications messed up…. Of course if I do not get the errors corrected right away it might help my erectile dysfunction … Of course I think just about all of the medications I take work cause ED.
God hates me.
My plan is to go tomorrow and have blood work done. The doctor ordered; PSA, LIPID, CMP and TSH. CMP is comprehensive metabolic panel with gfr. The PSA is the prostate specific antigen test. The TSH is for thyroid-stimulating hormone test.
The doctor wants the TSH test to see if that is why I am feeling dizzy and faint all the time.
I always forget to ask how long to fast before the test. I think it is something like 6 to 14 hours depending on the type of tests you are taking.

I did not know about not taking the vitamin supplements. I got a feeling a lot of people do not know about that point.
I guess my plan is that I will not eat or drink anything after midnight. The lab opens at 0700 hours. But the lab is in the parking lot with a big shopping mall. I think the mall opens at 1000. So I will time it to get there at about 1000 hours and then I can go over to mall to the food court and get something to eat.
