  I have not got any tickets for the lottery in over a month.  It might even be longer. 
No one won the Texas Mega Millions last night and the jackpot is at $475 million.  The cash value is now $341.4 million.  I am going to get a couple of tickets today for sure.
  That is a jackpot that would be a lot of fun to win. I could do a lot of good with that much money. I am 71 years old and it would be hard to give it all away in the time I have left. 

My Daily View for 3/26/1941

  I blogged about the TXU re-billing problem and heard from a different person with TXU with an offer to help.  I was thinking no problem  Eileen Reisdorf with TXU was just waiting to help me with my problem.  She was just waiting for the billing amount to show up. 
  But I send a email to Eileen and got back an automatic reply that she is on maternity leave.  So I will have to get someone else with TXU to help out.
  What in the world did we do before email?  I do everything online.

  Well today is my 71st birthday.  God, that is old.  I can not believe that I am 71 years old. 
My father had seven brothers and I think most of them died when they were 71 years of age.
  James Joseph Howard Sr died at age 56 in 1942.  James Joseph Howard Jr (my father) died at 65 in 1979.  I am James Joseph Howard III and I said in the past that I was expecting to die at 75 or 76 years of age. 
  But my father had three of his seven brothers die when they were 71 years of age.  One of his brothers died at age 72.  
  Now my father and his brothers were all smokers and drinkers.  I do not and never have smoked or drink.  I think that should give me a few years. 

  I do not believe in God.  So I know when it is over it is over.  I do not fear death.  I would like to stick around as long as I am in good heath.  But I do not want to end up in the hospital with tubes running out of my body and a bag to piss in.  I have a friend about my age and his mother is 105 years old!  My ex-mother in law is older than dirt.  I forget how old she is now.  She still works in the yard.  I do not think she even takes medications.  
  So I do not know how many years I have ahead of me. 

  I hope during the next few months and years when you are reading my blogs that you are not going to be reading about my medical problems or my trips to the hospital. 
  I want you to read about my wild life and all the partying I do all the time… I am a wild and crazy guy right?  

  I will try and cut out the Trayvon Martin / Zimmerman stuff in the blog.  I know you must be tired of hearing about it.

The TXU Energy bill is ready

  If you been following my blog you will know that I was very happy with my electric bill.  I put in all cfb and put up curtains to keep out the cold and heat.  I been trying to keep lights turned off.  I been following the TXU stats on their site about my power use.
  Then I found out that when TXU put in their new digital meters someone made an error and crossed up the meters.  I guess someone else in this apartment building was getting my bills and I was getting billed for their power use.  They were screaming about the very high energy use and I was telling my family how great I was at using so little power and I was getting low power bills.
  Well at last TXU found the problem. They never contact me or send me any information and in fact I have not received the printed bill yet. I suspect it will come today in the mail.
  I been checking online and it looked like they were going to bill me for about $800.00 of back power use.  But the bill is online now and this month they want $555.65 for back power use. I guess they call that “re-billing.”  I think under the laws or rules that control the power corporations they can only go back five or six months to do a “re-billing.”  Thank God for that. 
  Just think if someone had a problem like this for x amount of time how much money you could get hit with.

  When I get a high summer electric bill of $150.00 it is hard for me to pay it.  I pay it but it hurts.  But during the winter the bill is lower and I have a few extra dollars that month to buy toys.

  Well I blogged about this and a very nice lady with TXU read my blog and she is going to contact me now or I will contact her and she will set me up with a payment plan so I can pay off the extra cost in a payment plan.

  What is sad is all the time I spent each week and month looking at “My Usage” on line and trying to use those stats.  The stats are all messed up.  I guess at some point I will have new stats and I can start over.
  But I am never going to be sure that the bill is correct. I will always wonder if it is correct and I will always fear that at some point they are going to a “re-billing” again.

Not feeling loved

  I am at 219.4 pounds.  I am feeling better I think.  I am not sure if the African Mango or the Turmeric I am taking.  I think it is that I have lost a few pounds.  I think I could feel like a million dollars if I could just lose about 20 pounds.

  I need a hug.  I am getting a lot of hate comments on my YouTube videos.  

  I still have not got the TXU power bill.  I still think it is going to be about $800.00 this time.  I used $14.00 worth of power last week but I am going to soon get a $800.00 power bill.  Something wrong with this picture if you ask me.

Storms today here in Texas

  We are going to get some storms today in Texas.  I love rain storms. 
  I do not like the damage that electrical or lightning storms can do to computer or radio equipment. 
  I like making videos of rain storms.  I do not have a weather proof camera so I worry about my camera.  My son, he lives next door, has a water proof camera but last time the battery was not charged up.

  I have never had any fear about storms.  I know that it is not because I am brave.  I just have not been in a tornado.  I am sure if I have one hit where I am that after that I will be scared.  Easy to be brave if you have not seen one. 
  When I was working I did worry about flash flooding.  I do not know how to swim.  I do have some sort of fear of water.  Get my head under water and I panic.  When the kids were little I would go to the pool with them.  I would stand in the baby end of the poor.  If I had to put my head under the rope, and under water for a second, I would come up with a wild look of fear on my face and people would look at me.
  I am not sure why I have that fear of not breathing.  I can remember my mother and the fat land lady sitting on me and covering my face to try and force to me to shallow a pill.  They never got me to shallow any pills that way.  In fact it is just recently that I got so I could shallow a pill.  I do not think sitting on a kid is way to get a kid to swallow a pill (Here is a video on how to get kids to swallow pills). 

  When I was working at the hospital in Orlando (FL) I would be outside walking around in the rain and it would be lightning.  (We had a golf cart but I walked around much of the time.)  Hospital staff would call me over and say you should not be out in the lightning. 

  I have been in a Microburst.  That was May 26th of 1996 I was working hospital security in Lee’s Summit (MO).  I had never seen rain going sideways before or since.  I told the house supervisor that we need to go into our storm warning plan right now.  She told me to call the police/fire department and ask them.  I told her “NO, we need to go into Code Gray right now.”  She said OK and I had the PBX announce it and then the microburst hit.  I had never heard of a “microburst” until that time.
 

  I am 70 years old.  I been a weather observer for civil defense (back in the late 50s) and a member of the ham Skywarn program for years.  I have never seen a tornado.  I hope I never do see one.

  I have family and friends that are big on vitamins and supplements.  I have never been into that sort of stuff.  But they are telling me how much better they feel etc.

Looking at the stats

  I think you all know I put a lot of time and work into ShowMeBlog.  I get indexed very fast and very well.  I am listed on the front page of many Google searches.  I guess I should be happy.
  Sometimes one of my posts will get a lot of traffic for a day or two.  But day in and day out the normal here is about 500 or 600 viewers.  It has been like that for a very long time.
  ShowMeBlog is not getting more popular and it is not getting more traffic with time.
  I do not blame Google or the search sites.  The fault is with me.  I am doing something wrong or I am just not doing something right.

  If you want a positive stat ShowMeBlog has had almost 2 million pageviews since I started using TypePad for the hosting site.  That is a lot of pages that have been viewed by people.

  Now about Google AdSense I made $21.34 from Google last month.  So far this month, and this is the 16th, I have made $8.05 for half a month.  Now that is earnings for all of my blog AND also for my YouTube videos!

  I have some real fans on YouTube and I get some nice comments.  Sometimes a video will do pretty good.  But most of my videos get uploaded and do not get that many views.
  People like kitten videos and videos with cute young girls or cute guys.  You know I do not blame them.  The last thing I would want to look at is some fat old guy on YouTube.
  Just like the number of viewers for ShowMeBlog  sets at about 600 each day the numbers on YouTube stay about the same.  My YouTube videos get about 10,000 a month. 
 

  The videos that get the most views are video reviews.  For the last 30 days the video that got the most views was “Installing Android 2.2 on a Samsung Intercept.”  It got 1,391 views.  Now the second place was the “Douglas Kennedy has ‘clash’ with nurses” video with 1,194 views.
  I think I could make better videos.  It is harder to make videos.  It is more work.  It is more effort.  Or I could just get a pussy (am I talking about getting a cat or a young girlfriend)? 

  There are people making money from YouTube.  I am not one of them.
  The reason is that I am not making money from YouTube is that it takes hard work to make money.  You have to work at it everyday just like a job. 

Anno 2070

  I am downloading right now Anno 2070.  I am at 20% download.  Download speed of 890.6 KB/s.
  So soon I will be playing Anno 2070.
  My grandson got it for me. 
  I  watched some YouTube videos that show the game.  It looks like fun but looks like a lot of work.  I will see what happens here soon.

  I do not play these sort of games online with other players.  I am to slow and to dumb to pay against others.
 

  It looks like the sort of game I may like.  I like city-building and am not into games where you are fighting others and attacking and getting attacked all the time.
  So I will let you know how I like the game.

Olives

  Last couple of weeks I been eating olives.  I like them but have not had any recently for some reason.
 
  I decided that I should see if they are good for you so did a search of the Internet.

  Sounds good to me.  I am going to keep them around.  Having them here will keep me from eating something else that is bad for me.  (Like last night I ate half a bag of cookies and this morning after breakfast I had the other half of the bag of cookies. )

        I am at 222.4 pounds right now.

Go Animate

  I been feeling a little better that last couple of day.  I put up a check off list on the white board in my room with “Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner” on it.  I check them off as I eat that meal.  I am pretty much not eating between meals.
  I feel better.  But getting out and walking around is hard. I am so tired.  It take major effort and will to just put one foot in front of the other foot.  Not sure I can explain it to you if you have never felt that way.
  But I think if I could lose weight that I would feel better.
  But I think the way I feel is from the medications I am taking.

  I still do not have a bill from TXU yet.  So I do not know for sure how much they are saying that I need to pay because of their meter error.  I am guessing that it is going to be about $700.00 and they are saying they will let me pay that over six months. 
  So it appears that from now on my electric bill is going to be a lot higher AND for the next six months I will have to be paying off that old amount.  That mean no extra money to buy any stuff.  No new computer.  No tablet.  I been trying each month to loan out $25.00 via Kiva and I will put that on hold. I will keep reinvesting the money already in Kiva but I will not be adding any new.  I will look around for other things to cut but there is not much to cut.  I live pretty much hand to mouth.  No point in hoping we do not have a bad summer here in Fort Worth.  It is hot HOT  H O T here in Texas in the summer.
