Good Haulover Beach Photo – warning nude

  I made it to Haulover Beach one time.  That was about 2000 or 2001 and I was living in Orlando (FL).  I lived in Miami (FL) later for about six years and I never made it one time to Haulover Beach.
 
  I just found this great photo on Wikipedia.  It was taken on July 11, 2009 for the world record in skinny dipping at Haulover Beach (FL).  The author of the photo is "Elmschrat."

  This photo just makes you feel the fun of being at the beach.  I miss Miami.  I wish I was living right next to Haulover Beach and I could just walk over and enjoy the beach. 
  This was a special event and it is sort of a rule that you do not take photos at Haulover Beach.  I know you have seen five or six of me at the beach but there were not many people there and the photos were taken fast and then the camera was put away.

Michelle Obama's trip

  It does not take long to fall when the right wing and their front organizations attack you.  Michelle Obama went on a little vacation with her daughter to Spain.  Now her approval rating has gone from 64 to 50%.
  She did some work for the US in Spain. She and Sasha had lunch with King Juan Carlos and Queen Sophia.  I am sure that was good PR for the United States.  But she is not getting any credit for it.
  I am not sure what I think about the trip.  First ladies always take vacations and they have to stay at nice hotels for security reasons.  I am sure she is being attacked because she is President Obama's wife.  It is not fair.
  On the other hand it was very dumb of them to do the vacation at this time.  A lot of Americans do not have jobs and people are very upset with spending.

  CBS News reports that the cost to US tax payers was $146K for the cost of U.S. Air Force aircraft.  It was $95K for hotel cost for 70 security personnel.
  Again it is not fair …but I can understand that it makes good shit to attack the first lady and President Obama. 
  Someone in the WH should have seen this coming.  The WH should know that anytime they do anything people are going to look for a way to turn it into an attack.  This was an easy one to see. 
 
 
  Now the first lady paid for her own hotel room, food and transportation.  We paid for the Secret Service and security. 

  It is to bad that the wife of the President of the United States can not take a vacation. 
  I think we should have her travel all over the world and vacation and make friends for the United States.  But I do not think the American people agree with me.  A 14% drop in approval rating is something you do not want to happen very often.

Friends and Fans

  When I say I have "fans" my son and grandson get this funny smile on their face.. Like "sure sure old man."  Well now I have proof.

  Here is Nikos and Willy from Greece.  Nikos on the right has been reading ShowMeBlog for years. 

  My son has been to China two times and my grandson has been to China one time.  I think I may just visit Greece someday.  It looks like Nikos and Willy have a nice place there.  I bet they have a guest room.

Airline considers fee for lavatory use - CNN.com

(CNN) -- Fresh on the heels of one budget airline announcing that it will ask passengers to pay extra to bring carry-on bags on board, another is considering charging them for using the lavatory.

Ryanair, which is based in Dublin, Ireland, and bills itself as "Europe's first and largest low fares airline," is mulling a plan that would require travelers to pay either 1 euro or 1 British pound (about $1.33 or $1.52) for using the bathroom on flights lasting one hour or less.

The plan, titled "Ryanair Cost Saving Proposal," was published in the airline's inflight magazine.

The carrier said it is working with Boeing to develop a coin-operated door release so that when nature calls, passengers would need to deposit the change before being able to use the facilities.

The idea is to encourage people to use restrooms in airport terminals before boarding, Ryanair said. If the airline were to proceed, the changes would be at least 12 to 18 months away.

    I am not sure how I feel about this idea.  I have an enlarged prostate.  Sometimes I have to go to the bathroom very often.  I am not sure I could afford to fly.  Smile
    I could hook up a bag and use that in my seat!  Well that would not work...I see two problems...One that would be like the movies were you can not bring your own candy to eat.  
    There would also be the problem with the body scanner they would see the bag and some 400 pound TSA security person would jump on top of my body and knock me down and all 400 pounds would be on my badder and prostate and we would have a flood in the airport.  
    I think we should just give up flying.  Well fly if you have to leave the 48 states.  
    We could built a high speed rail system and I mean high tech and super fast.  I am not sure how fast that would be but at least 200 or 300 mph and faster if they can do it.  Thinks of all the jobs in the United States building the rail system.  Make sure we build the cars for the rail system in the United States. That would be more jobs.
    Then all the jobs working on the rail road after it was build should be union jobs and those would all be good jobs with good pay and good benefits.  Those jobs would be spread all across the entire lower 48 states.  The railroads have their own police department so there would even be a lot of good paying jobs for people that want to be police officers.  Sounds like it would be good for everyone... Well I guess not for the airlines.  Smile
    People would wonder many years from now ... Why did Americans stop flying and start riding the trains?  People would say .. Well America decided to get their freedom from England because of a tea tax and Americans decided to get their freedom from airlines because of a pee tax.

     
    

Full-body scanners improve security, TSA says - CNN.com

"Washington (CNN) -- Full-body imaging machines that see through clothes have significantly improved security in airports where they are deployed, and have revealed more than 60 "artfully concealed" illegal or prohibited items in the past year, the Transportation Security Administration says.

To date, no explosives have been detected by the machines, but their ability to spot even small concealed objects demonstrates their effectiveness as a security tool, officials said.

"It is absolutely a tremendous improvement of what we can detect at the checkpoints," TSA Acting Administrator Gale Rossides said this week. "It is an excellent piece of technology that will significantly improve our detection capabilities."

As evidence of the machines' capabilities, the security agency released five photos of drugs or suspected drugs that airport screeners found after scans revealed anomalies on the ghost-like images of people's bodies. The agency said metal detectors would not have revealed the items.

Screeners using the technology also found a knife hidden in the small of a person's back at the Richmond, Virginia, airport, a concealed razor blade on a passenger in Phoenix, Arizona, and other concealed items such as large bottles of lotion, which are prohibited as carry-on items..."

  I have no problem with these scanners.  Believe me I am a believe in the Bill of Rights.  I have been in fights all my life for our rights.  I was a member of the ACLU and would still be a member but I can not afford to be paying for membership.  I am on a limited income now.
  I can understand why some of you would have problems with the scanners. It looks like right now the have safe guards in place but I know how security works and I know how people are..Believe me I have worked with some real ass holes and fuckups over the years.  I know that someday we are going to be reading about how some jerk fucked up and a lot of people will be screaming.
  My guess is that it will happen later.  Right now supervisors and others will be on top of things.  But someday they will let their guard down and the shit will hit the fan.  I still think this is excellent for security.  

Flying on Friday the 13th

  I used PriceLine to buy  the tickets.  Russell and I will be flying from Miami to Fort Worth on Friday the 13th.  We are flying direct.  It will be a three hour flight. 
  We could have got a non-direct flight on a different airline for $75.00 and that is a great price.
  Our ticket cost us $120.00 and that does not include taxes and any extra charges the airline may have for bags and stuff like that…. Ken will drive us to the airport.
  Right now the plan is to get a cab at DFW.  The cost of the cab will be about $80.00 to get us home.  YES, almost the cost the flight and more than the discount ($75) flight.  We will look into something cheaper than a cab … but right now that is the plan…  I do not have a problem flying on Friday the 13th.

  I checked the price of boxes at the The UPS Store…My God … their boxes must be made out of gold.  But they are nice boxes and they have all sizes of them. 

Best way to ship computers

  I have not heard from the people doing the background check on me yet.. So I do not know if I have been approved for the apartment or not…I think they will approve me.
  When I move from Kansas City to Orlando (FL) Jimmy and I moved the computers in the rental car.  When Jimmy and I moved from Orlando to Carrollton (TX) we shipped them and I forget what company ….  When I moved from TX to Miami and Ken moved from Kansas City we shipped the computers by UPS if I remember correct.
  Anyone have a recommendation on the best way to ship the computers from here to Fort Worth (TX)?

  Now I wish I just had a laptop.  That would be so nice not to have to worry about shipping computers.  I need to get set up with just a laptop computer. 
  On the 1st of the month I will switch my pay as you go plan with BoostMobile to the unlimited $50.00 a month plan.  I am not sure I will even have a land line phone in Texas.  I may just use the cell phone from now on.
  If I had an iPhone or one of those smart phones I would use it to blog on the way from here to Texas but it is NO fun trying to do anything on a Motorola i776 phone. 

  I wonder what my first video will be about from Texas.  I will take video on the way to Texas so I guess it will be about the trip from here to Texas.  But I wonder what the first video will be when I get to Texas.  I bet it will be of the new apartment.

  I guess I will need to buy a coat.  I have not had owned a coat since I left Kansas City in 2000.  Any ideas on what type of cowboy western hat I should get when I get to Texas?  When I get my gun permit what sort of handgun should I get?  It will be an auto.  What make and cal do you recommend.  Price may be the deciding factor…. Just for a basic one you are talking $500.00 for the gun.

I filled out the application for the apartment

  I filled out the online application for the apartment in Fort Worth.  They wanted a lot of information.  I expect to be approved.  I am sure there is going to be more that I have to do.  I am sure they will send me a printed form to fill out and want a deposit.
  Russell and I plan to move about the middle of next month.
  
  We have lived in Texas.  Jimmy and I moved from Orlando (FL) to Carrollton (TX).  Then Darlene, Russell, Jimmy and I moved from Carrollton to Hillsboro (TX).  Then Ken and I moved to Miami (FL).  Russell moved here later to join us.
  We have been in Miami for about  five years.

  I did think of one good reason, other than family being there, to live in Fort Worth.  I am a amateur radio operator (“ham”) and they have an excellent D-Star repeater network in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

D-Star compatible radios are available on VHF and UHF and microwave amateur radio bands.   I am not sure there is even one D-STAR repeater in the Miami area.  Now, of course, there is one little problem for me.  I do not own a D-Star radio.  It would cost me $500.00 to get the radio above and that is the lowest priced radio they sell.  I am not sure when I can afford one.

Road Trip?

  I have not fill out the application yet for the apartment in Fort Worth but I do not see any reason they would not accept me.
  I was thinking taking a rental truck from Miami to Fort Worth but everyone says they cost way to much.  Even a van would cost around $850 and that is to much.  A rental car I am told would be around $500.00 and that is a lot of money but we could take our computers and I could load a lot of other stuff in the car.
  I did that when Jimmy and I moved to Orlando (FL) from Kansas City (MO) and when Ken and I moved to Miami from Kansas City we loaded up his small car. 
  It is going to cost $300.00 for Russell and I to fly from Miami to Dallas/Fort Worth airport and then we will have to take a cab to the apartment. 
  So we will think about renting a car and if we do not rent a car then it will be flying and we will have to spent at least $100.00 to ship our computers.
  We are talking 21 hours and 1364 miles.  I am not sure what sort of miles rental cars get but I am going to say 25 mpg and that would cost about $140.00 for gas.

  Now if I could just find some way to blog on the trip.
 

  Dick, a friend, points out to me that we would have the use of the car for a few days in Fort Worth after we got there for that price.
